I absolutely adored the trailer (and I am going to have to get and read the books) I am so so in love with what you have achieved!! And you are so right for fighting for this! Cast disabled actors in disabled roles! And honestly after that trailer, I’m dying to see you in that role!

I may not like the book series itself, but I fully support you and your mission . You would be great in Lila's role, in fact I reread the first book recently with a friend and thought "hm...Kelsey would slay this character" . I was so glad when you announced the project. And I would suggest a petition is started with the trailer as the 'ad campaign ' to try to make sure actors with disabilities are not once more overlooked. Love you keep up the good work 💜💚💙🧡

I guess I have some experience in the media industry bc I go to work-experience action media on Wednesdays and they help people who have a disability to be the film crew and get involved!

Congrats on the trailer, it's very cool! I'm curious about something on this topic though. What do people think about roles where the character is not disabled during some sequences, be it flashbacks or due to some magical event. An obvious example is John Locke in LOST, a wheelchair user who is suddenly able to walk after the plane crash. Should stories like this simply not be done? Or should disabled people still play them and these sequences be created with some combination of CGI or body doubles?
