In this video, I am breaking/reviewing a hobby box of 2020-21 Panini Contenders Collegiate Draft Picks Basketball! This product comes in 12 box cases and has 1st/First Off The Line (FOTL), hobby, and retail formats. The SRP is in the mid $100 range, but these boxes resell for $220+. Every box has 6 packs, each with 18 cards. Expect 6 autographs, 12 parallels, and 30 variations per box. This product comes with chances at pulling regular/Optic Contenders Rookie Ticket Autos, 1/1's, SSP Campus ID inserts, and the first rookies of LaMelo Ball, James Wiseman, and Anthony Edwards! Just got out of a CVS in N.C. I asked the Mgr why no more sportscards were on the shelves. He says all CVS stores are discontinuing stuff & changing everything around. Then he says....."All I've got now are these here". As he whips out 3 fat packs of 2020 Panini Illusions Basketball from underneath his register area. $9.99 each. Never seen a real pack of ANYTHING in CVS, other than Fairfield stuff. 🥰 So heads up, your local CVS may have amazing stuff behind the counter. He did say he was about to put the Illusion packs on a shelf.

They only release on Panini website and did a First Off The Line series a couple weeks ago as a dutch auction and then now have the others as set price I believe.

This is crazy because I opened a box of this last night & I got exactly the same autos & inserts you did.....My Wiseman was a cracked ice #d /23 & I got 2 different ty-shon alexander autos (1 base & 1 variation) & the zion was #d /75.......the other 3 autos were the exact same players as well.......Panini's quality control at it's finest but in a good way for once!!........lol.......

Skylar Mays is actually a really good player. Saw him in that really incredible LSU-Tennessee game where LSU won 82-80 in overtime, and he balled out for the Tigers. So that’s a good card.

Thanks for taking the plunge with this product. I was hesitant but ordered a box. I wasn't really impressed with the break, but your Wiseman hit was absolute 🔥. I'm a fan of his so I hope he does well. So many unheard of players and kind of ugly base. I hope I can at least get a hit to make it worth it. They need to improve this product asap. Keep up the amazing work!

Honestly, most of the rookie cards in packs like these are worth holding onto. Coming straight of college, no one knows how these guys are gonna perform. Most of the top ten guys probably will be mid or some lottery pick might explode, etc.. This especially holds true this year with a shortened season (i.e. Ja Morant skyrocketed into top 5 after NCAA tourney last year). Something similar could have happened with a Kira Lewis Jr or Saddiq Bey, but we just didn't get to see it.
