Hi LeeAnn. I’m a 70-yr old retired gal from Northeast Kansas. I’ve been enjoying all the Doss family channels for some time now. I like that you are joining Ralph in doing chores occasionally, and love the way the two of you banter back and forth. During these late days of winter we have weather similar to yours. Like you, I’ve lost some weight, and have noticed how I don’t tolerate the cold as well. I noticed that you don’t zip up your jackets or use a hat. I’ve found that it’s more important to me to stay warm and not worry so much about how it looks. I don’t know if the latter is more important to you, but I highly recommend that you wrap your scarf completely around your neck at least as high as the bottom of your ears. And if you’re not going to wear a hat then pull your hood up. It makes a huge difference! That’s how I’ve been managing staying much warmer in this crazy weather. I just looked up at the TV and now see that you’ve zipped your jacket up part way and pulled your hood up. Great minds think alike! I love the latest additions-the three baby goats. Ralph, I had to laugh at you when you laid in the kiddy pool, because my late father did that when he laid in my son’s pool when my son was three. See, my father was overweight and a big man. As my son watched his grandfather lay down, the look of horror was when the water flew out of the pool and all over, to the point as Dad got up and out of the pool…there was no water left. My son’s reaction was, “Grandpa stole all the water. It’s all gone!” Thank you for the memory and the chuckles with you and Grandma today. I’m now 71 and my son is 45 and raising two teenagers(a boy and a girl). So, the daily laughs are needed.🥰🙏🏻

🙏🏻 My dad (Abner)is 95 and has been taken to the ER because his BP is low. He didn’t even watch the church service this morning because he wasn’t feeling right. It’s hard living in a different state. Thanks for your prayers.

My dad always had a hankie and even though mom would buy new ones he would still pull out the yellowed one from his pocket, he said they are softer. After mom passed in 2009, I found hankie material with the plaid borders in her material stash. When dad passed 2020, I sewed together pieces of his shirt squares and back yoke the size of the hankie, sewed a shirt pocket onto the white middle part of the new hankie and sewed them together with a binding for a small size memory hankie for each of dad’s 9 great grand kids. None of them wanted the old yellowed hankies! I threw them out.

As a qualified and experienced dog groomer you definitely should not shave those beautiful dog coats ever ❤ brushing out their winter coat and the water pools is perfect

Hi Grandpa and Grandma, Yes, you have to literally have two sets of season clothing now because the temperatures change so fast. Those pools are a great size for the dogs. I love the way you banter back and forth. I am going to get one so I can just sit in it and get some sun being cool in the water. I have a fence around my patio so the neighbors can’t laugh at me. Cheaper then a big pool. I am cracking up over the bidet.

So much fun. In case the dogs nails might puncture holes in their pool try putting indoor outdoor carpet or rubber puzzle mats on the bottom. You could build a wooden frame around the pool so they cant chew. Lol What a hoot watching the shananigans. You always leave me smiling. Thank you.

Love watching the two of you banter back and forth. It's fun to watch when Matt is there too. Seems your whole family has a lovely sense of humor! Grandpa, I'm glad you have the chickens a chance to free range. Mine love it, but I was like you. I was so nervous for a week or so when I first let mine free range. I'd run outside 2-3 times a day and count heads to make sure they were OK. Lol!! We started fermenting the food, and our eggs went from medium and large to X- large and Jumbo eggs. I'm amazed!! Plus, the chickens seem to love the most food. I only put the layer feed in water. The scratch is left dry. And I have a dove that came from somewhere who eats with my chickens now. It has made our home it's home. I'm totally loving it!

Morning all,,, pls remember that the furrbabies are still puppies! They want to play & if the pups do the play stance then they are asking for play! Rev & Ri don’t realize how BIG they are. ALSO since I’ve been in rescue 20+ yrs & know dogs & not goats,,has anyone in goats mentioned they will HAVE to establish pecking order anytime new is introduced, even after having babies in the stalls & being stalled 2wks w Mom, the Mom has to ‘fight’ or tussle with other gals for pecking order again!! I learned this recently with ZION Creek Farm with Shawn’s Moms are starting to have their babies. ❤ Bless you guys & all You Doss fam out there w sick fam members. I love it when the deer visit my yard. Grandpa you proved the pool is big enough for the dogs. Lol

If you double stack the pool they will be stronger and the sides won't break down. That makes them last longer. I had two stacked together for my dog last summer, so he could cool off. Last fall I planted elephant garlic in them. Now I have to buy a couple more. The elephant garlic is 8" tall already. When you have animals on the land you don't need fertilizer. The animals fertilize the ground for you. Timothy pellets is a great alternative. They have less protein, and it will keep them bucket trained. Shaving your dogs would take away their insulation and they would overheat in the summer and be too cold in the winter. Herd dogs are double-coated and their insulation is very important. Deferminating them of excess under-coat is what they need for their thick beautiful hair.

Finally I must comment on the "Wormy Dance" the first time I watch grandpa do his "Wormy Dance" I honestly thought this man has a heart that would explode if he did not have all the animals to fuss and love. I honestly believe both of you are well suited for each other. The absolute love and care that the two of you share with all of your fur babies is so very obvious. I love that, "I don't know, I wasn't listening. " 😆 The first pool is a test, they will appreciate the second one more is what we have learned. We had the gp shaved once because my husband thought he was too hot. Ours would last down when put on a leash too. At least you'd walked some. Ours would take 5 steps and lay down. I think Rev's favorite goatlet was Abu. I think he did really well with them. They don't shave easily due to the double coat and it looks patchy and takes forever to grow back in. I don't suggest it. I love it when y’all end in giggles. Seriously though, spreading out the baby goat playground throughout their expanded yard will do the trick in getting them out there more. Can you lock up the big goats in their dining den long enough for the baby goats and dogs to interact outside together? Those pools you bought, is exactly what I used for my raised beds in the garden! I have 9 they work well, can't plant potatoes but everything else grows well. I drilled holes in the bottom for drainage.

Grandpa, the chickens are my favorite. I planted zucchini around my run. They loved it. ❤

Thank you Ralph and LeeAnn for today video. My laughter started when Ralph laid in the pool just to show us how big the pool was.yes keep the wormie dance going! LeeAnn you are just like me. It is cold outside and I don't do up my jacket zipper! I really needed this today. I managed to get a bad cold from my great granddaughter when I was with her, and today is my birthday and my family had to postpone a surprize birthday party for me! 🤗🤗💞💞💙💙

When we had big dogs, we bought a rubber pool that was supposed to be an inground garden pool (I think from Southern States).. it was 3 or 4 ft deep! ...my husband might have dug a small hole, but it was mainly above ground... the big dogs did not have any trouble getting in (these were house dogs, btw, that spent time outdoors ... they were a mess! lol )
