This is my review of the Coleman brand SaluSPA inflatable Hot Tub and the space I created for it in our basement!
This September our Coleman brand SaluSPA inflatable hot tub arrived from Amazon which cost around $500.
We initially set it up outside and it survived a couple of months on our back driveway.... classy, I know... but we did and it worked until the cold started coming in, so I brought it inside and set it up again.
The matching cover fits tightly on top with a floating insert and attaches with several sturdy safety clasps, which is great for general heat retention and off-duty safety.
The operation is pretty basic, it has pretty strong compressed air bubble "jets" which are fun in the summer, but cool down the temperature rather quickly. We use this hot tub pretty casually so it doesn't entirely need to be a full jets and seats and things operation, for us.
You do have to keep an eye on the chemicals, and go ahead and order your bromine tabs, your ph test kit, your water clarifier, and your extra filters when you order the tub. It will save you a trip or 2. The filter should be rinsed and brushed off daily for the best results.
Overall, I would give it a 9/10 for what you are paying for and what you are getting, if you have the cash and have the space, the space has a drain, and is completely solid then this is a totally non-commital hot tub, which can be moved, get a Coleman Saluspa!
If you have any further questions about the hot tub, comment below and I'll be happy to answer if I can!

Magical basement lounge, nesty, chill vibes room. Shouting from the rooftops that my best friend on the planet is also the coolest and most talented at creating rooms of art and comfort and almost always on a budget. Always relatable. So beautiful.

Yes! There this a drain plug in the bottom of the tub which has an interior plug and and exterior cap off to the side which you can attach a hose to the nearest basement drain.

Overall, it works really efficiently in the basement during the winter months. I can’t imagine how often the heat pump would run during super cold weather outside… below freezing, but it works great. Definitely watching the chemicals and cleaning the filter often is really necessary. I would be super conscious of moving it and getting an air leak with some kind of tear.. that’s my biggest concern with it so far…. Otherwise It’s pretty good! Thanks for watching and the comment!

I’m about to do this. Was wondering how you ventilated the room? Exhaust fan or anything? Was the humidity bad?
@CADEmade
@CADEmade 2 ай бұрын
I did add a simple fan exhaust for some ventilation, but I didn’t find that the humidity was abnormally much. We do have ventilation windows within the space which helps during the warm days. It’s fair enough to experiment with just having a fan in the room to distribute the air a little bit more evenly. Hope this helps. Thanks so much for watching.

Do you have any issue with humidity in your basement from the hot tub? I'm getting ready to set mine up in my basement and was wondering about humidity...
@CADEmade
@CADEmade 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Steven, we already have an outgoing fan in our basement for general humidity. I would say the times it got very humid was when the “bubble jets” were used. Luckily you can move it outside or elsewhere if it is too humid! Good luck and hope this helped a little bit.

Not really… we already have an exhaust fan in the basement so it probably does the trick.

Most of the time the spa chemicals take care of the cleaning. The filter should be cleaned almost daily.

Hello I enjoyed watching your video. I am considering putting a hot tub in my basement as well. I was wondering did you use waterproof paint on the walls and get a dehumidifer. So I have been wanting this for months and currently at war with my spouse who is obsessing over every tiny detail. He is convinced it will destroy are basement.
@CADEmade
@CADEmade Жыл бұрын
Hello there! Thanks for the comment. In the summertime we do keep a dehumidifier active in the basement and we also have a preexisting vent fan in the room with the hot tub. I’m not sure waterproof paint will make a difference beyond just bathroom quality latex paint. Our walls are cemented so we would have the same assumed as possible with drywall. If you decide to out one in your basement, since it’s inflated you can take it down easily and move it outside if it starts creating moisture issues inside. We have found the benefit of having the hot tub is more than the risk of moisture. Hope this helps and take care.

Good to consider the humidity, but we already have a vent exhaust fan to control the humidity in the basement so it’s not a big deal here. Thanks!
