Alice Cooper came before this.... Nightwish was headlining, AC was damn good but then THIS happened... You just never forget your first Nightwish encounter... It's like one those sea change experiences, epic!

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS was the first introduction of Floor as the lead singer for NW to many in the crowd....

When you are closing the festival, with headline billing, and Alice Cooper has just finished on the adjacent stage, you'd better start wth a bang and hit the ground running. They did that alright!

82,000 people most of whom had never heard Floor singing with Nightwish and this is the opening number !! Had to wait for another year or so for her first album. And then we got Human II Nature a masterpiece. Still waiting for a live performance but the lyric videos are excellent.

Funny story - this is the track that introduced me to NW. It was 2008, I was in my final year at university and quite naturally as it was approaching finals season, I was doing an overnight binge of Tomb Raider on the PS2. I got stuck on a boss battle where Lara fights two reanimated stone centaurs who have reflective bronze shields and longbows, and naturally resorted to searching for solutions on KZfaq. I found a video walkthrough that the creator had set to music - and it happened to be Dark Chest of Wonders. Don’t think I went back to the game that night, I was suddenly more interested in finding more music by the band! Ended up buying the album Once the next time I was in a music shop, and that was it. Would love to find that video again but I suspect it’s long gone.

You guys are freaking geniuses to react to this concert I have watched it easily 10 times, and am still amazed. This was the concert many believe completely sold the band on the Goddess Floor being the full-time, for good, ever more a band member and lead vocalist. Essentially with this song, and everyone after Floor was like "Mine" and we grinned, nodded and said, "Yes Maam!" Check out the reactions of Tuomas, Emppu, Marko, and Jukko during the show, they were mesmerized as were most of us with the sheer power, control, and lady balls Floor has on the stage. I think I hear my brothers and sisters moving the earth beneath them to see your reactions to this concert. Nightwish Army Georgia USA reporting! You gonna be hooked like crack addicts after this concert, Jonsing for a Nightwish fix, but boy is it worth it.

It's kinda funny that so many people start their NW journey with Ghost Love Score, which is fairly unique ( and long) in their catalog, but looking thru the CDs I own, probably 70% of their songs come in at 4-6 minutes in length. I'm pretty sure they used to do more longer songs in the pre-"Once" era, which is the album this song opens and was also the album that really broke them outside Europe, but not many of them get played live anymore. Just some useless trivia for ya.

We Love Our Angel Floor or Valkyrie. Marco's voice is amazing . Floor says that she's a vocal technique nerd and a Highly Sensitive Person or ( HSP) .

Just one thing guys crank the track volume up a tad as it’s abit low. The full show is off the charts and not a bad track on there. Just remember Nightwish have their own style which is everything from the heavy stuff to dancy folk stuff. Strap in boys

Nightwish's music is simply very addictive. Well said guys, songs are different but they all are under NW umbrella. Tuomas has an unspeakable ability to paint a story with incredible melodic paths. Every song is a great journey, brings listener always to another zone. Goes without saying Tuomas is a Genius. No wonder Nightwish has such a huge fanbase in every corner of the globe. Just a few of the many facts (Where's Gabriel when you need him?) Tuomas writes 95% of the music and lyrics, he sees a whole story and then makes that into individual but linked musical pieces for an album, he is a genius, some of the lyrics are very deep, poetic and metaphorical. Indeed they do use the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the backing tracks are digitised and stored in Pro Tools, some of their music starts with 600 tracks too. . . . . . . . . You keep mentioning films and the cinema, well Tuomas is a movie score buff, so you have that right.
