I'd think you definitely wand a fairly large bathroom with a small shower and seperate leach field so you won't ever have a problem with a lond transfer pipe.

It's kinda funny how when you was spraying the water on the sand I swore I could smell it. I've smelled wet sand to be compacted before and that memory took over my brain. It's amazing the difference between a sand pad and a clay pad like they have in Chris Letsdig18's area. Ya gotta work with what you have available in your area tho. Michigan where I originally grew up has plenty of sand so that's what they used when I was kid and we'd hang out watching contractors building house and shop pads.

I always appreciate your videos and your ability to do just about anything. One suggestion, please look into a 9' basement wall. The livability of the basement/lower level will be significantly improved. I have a friend who put a new basement under his old farm home. He told me the 9' basement was the best thing he did.

Seems like you got lucky with the builder moving up the time frame of putting up your new shop. It's going to help you have it ready for harvest season with all the benches and equipment in place to work on theharvesting equipment that always seems have Gremlins pop at the most inconvenient time.

Hey Brandon I watched a video that welker farms said they did a couple years ago they took a engine out of a 77 jd combine and put in their 4630 and it fits perfectly you might check on something like that for your 5020 just thought maybe it might help good luck
@dirtgrainsteel
@dirtgrainsteel 29 күн бұрын
That a easy swap the combine was a 404 deere engine and the 4630 was already made for the 404 only but the injection has to be changed if I remember correctly....in my situation I'm going to take a 531 out and try a 466 back in it's place luckily I got a buddy that's a really good machinist and I think he will be able to help me figure it out he made the clutch all work in my Linkbelt Dragline he made a beautiful adapter for the fly wheel and clutch for it

@dirtgrainsteel my dad operated excavators for a good part of his life. Started at local pit running an Insley excavator. It had well over 10k in hours. Then the company decided to get 2 Cat 245B excavators (purchased at different times I think). My dad also got to operate a Bucyrus Erie 88B cable front shovel. That came on 5 - 7 lowboy trailers. I would stand behind the seat and watch dad dig & load Euclid off-road haul trucks in 3 or 4 passes. Five passes, material was falling off 3 sides. It had a 12 cylinder Cummins engine with air controls. I got started on the 245b when dad & I would change buckets for repair. That's where I learned Cat controls. I learned JD controls much much later. I like JD control pattern better. Sorry for the long comment.
