We've been running a couple trailerless setups for quite some time now on our residential trucks. It has been soooo much better. One of ours is custom built and the other is a mow and go system. Both have green touch racks. The ramp rack system looks sweet.... I'll definitely consider it when we set up the next truck.

Are you leaving a few trucks without ramps so you can pull dump trailers or is there a hitch on the back of the dovetail?

Yes. We are leaving some. However, the ramp part can come off pretty quickly too 👍🏻

We still have room for clippings since we don’t put zero turns in the bed

You can just replace the blower rack for equipment defender racks the pole goes down instead of to the side

It is pretty easy to get to the lights. We haven’t had to yet, but the access is pretty good 👍🏻⭐️

I would just like to see a clippings load being unloaded, We use a 30 inch as well and sometimes a 36 stand on. so i know they will fit. but I am concerned with the amount of clippings from 20 lawns fitting in the truck with the equipment and ease of unloading.

Correct, if you add a 36 inch, it will be difficult to hold much debris.

We only use the push mower so it gives us plenty of room for hauling the clippings

Brilliant. I am much better with plants than at driving, so I dread the idea of hauling a trailer., even for a period until I can pay someone else to drive, not to mention the excessive govt fees for that, great solution.

52 is about the max you can get on (unless you have a flatbed truck)

You could definitely mount an after market backup camera to the back of the ramp rack.... but in terms of the manufactures on the tailgate, probably not gonna work 😃

Dealing with the grass clippings seems like it will be a pain with your Ramp Rack set up. Loading and unloading.

@@MikeAndes With the equipment racks it looks difficult to dump the bags without actually climbing into the truck. When unloading, you will have to toss the clippings over the side or over the gate. Would like to see a truck with equipment loaded. :)

The ramp allows them to not have to lift and dump over the side of the truck, reducing fatigue

The downside to this is when the truck goes down for any mechanical reason, the entire unit is out of commission. With a trailer, you can easily use another truck. That’s a big deal for a small company or a guy doing this on the side alone. It’s also relatively simple to upgrade to a bigger trailer as your business grows and you need to add equipment. Unless you operate in residential areas with tight streets and you drive for shit, I don’t see any benefit to this system. I’d also be a little leery of upsetting your center of balance. Regarding your closing statement, no matter what your situation, I can’t see how this would allow you to make more money versus a normal truck/trailer setup.
