I used to be against having any female dogs. I just use to say I get along better with male dogs. That was until I got my little puppy Tokyo last year and she's just become my whole world. Now I don't care about gender

Now your breeding off standard dogs....Merle is not a color accepted in any French bulldog standard and the fact you just bred Wasabi...I can’t really support you anymore ugh

It's unfortunate that "non-standard" colors have such a negative connotation. The first French Bulldog was created about 150 years ago by mixing an English Bulldog with a Rat Terrier. For the first few years of its existence, the black brindle French Bulldog was the ONLY coat color present in this newly created breed. Every coat color we see in the bulldog breed was a result of “mixing and matching” to create new color variations and patterns, Merle is just the most recent one, the “new” one, and the current controversy. Which actually isn't so "new" anymore. Are Merles accepted by the AKC? The answer is no. The Bulldog breed standard was written over a century ago and only deems black brindle, cream, fawn, pied, and white as acceptable colors. All “exotic” colors are considered non-standard and an instant disqualification. Standard color breeders and AKC show competitors look down upon "exotic" colored French Bulldogs like merles, lilacs, blues, chocolates, etc, and consider them to be un-pure and unacceptable. The real problem is double Merles (mating two Merles). A Merle French Bulldog should only be bred to a dog of a solid coat color (and one that does not carry the Merle "phantom" gene) and should be health tested like any other dog. Which WE have done. We think non-standard, HEALTHY Frenchies are awesome. They are French Bulldogs (as evidenced by GENETICS), they are sweet and they are cuddly. We understand they just aren’t welcome to the "club". And we accept that. *shrug*
