Being gender non-conforming means, for example, you are a girl who prefers 'boys' toys, 'boys' clothes, etc. You don't have interests that are seen as traditionally feminine or girly, but you are still a girl, you still know you are a girl in your heart and your mind. (This was me when I was a kid!) Being transgender is VERY different. Being transgender, like the girl in the video, means you KNOW you are not the gender you were assigned at birth. You know that you are in a body which does not match up with what you feel in your mind and your heart.

I was constantly encouraged to behave more as a girl than a boy as a child. It's not much different now, since my mind still finds it hard trying to adjust to what society believes a woman should be. As an adult, most of the time, I see myself, not as a woman or a man, just me. I am more comfortable because I am learning who I am. Yeh, teaching children about sexuality at a young age is very loving. When I was 9 years old I didn't even understand what sexuality was because my parents didn't talk about it and I hardly watched TV, instead I played sports and did outdoor stuff like children should do. Parents now give children phones and let their kids watch tv shows( kids shows aren't like what they were, they have PC in them now to force a narrative). Children are very opened minded and the amount of social conditioning/engineering that has been done to promote this so-called inclusiveness is just a facade to actually create a state of confusion. When there is confusion there is division and the division is what is truth and what are lies. This has been going on for centuries. Now truth is being censored and ostracized. Gender dysphoria is a clinical diagnosis where a person, child or adult, does not associate him/her self with their biological gender at birth. in some cases, the dysphoria is very deep-rooted and to press such a person into a mould which society envisages for that person is to make that person's life a misery and possibly suicidal. Hormone blockers can be used to delay puberty, but these may not be enough and surgical intervention may be necessary. Such decisions are not made lightly but are based on psychological, life-style and need, involving clinical professionals. The main drawback from clinical intervention is the subsequent inability of transitioned children to have their own children later on in life when they become adults. This factor might not be understood in younger children.

Did looking in the mirror hurt because with all your heart, knew that there should be a cat staring back at you? Were you in constant psychological distress because you knew deep down, you truly were a cat? The psychological distress that trans kids isn't invalid because of their age. Think about the pain this child would have to go through during puberty, knowing that she is a woman yet still having to turn into a man because her feelings as a human being aren’t valid until she turns 16.. it makes no sense to me truly how anybody would think it’s right to force a child through puberty when it will cause nothing but dysphoria and self hatred, knowing that all they wanted was to be themselves from the very start
@Imjustshrimp3 жыл бұрын
She is not on any type of hormones. She is simply socially transitioned which just means she dresses “girly” and goes by she her. Frankly when a child is that young it’s pretty clear that they’re truly transgender.
@sinpescado3 жыл бұрын
You say "no hate" and then immediately make statements that assume the parents don't know what they are doing or would hurt their child. While not hateful necessarily, they certainly are hurtful. It's also pretty presumptuous of you to make the statement that she will "definitely feel different" when she is older. You have no way of knowing that. At this age, no child is taking hormones like estrogen or testosterone to produce gender changes. Why? Because they haven't reach puberty. Giving a child this young hormones their bodies will eventually produce if left alone would be inappropriate as well. As noted at about 4:44, at the very beginning of puberty, she may choose to take a puberty blocker. This will delay puberty without causing any permanent changes in her body. That will give her more time to make decisions about hormones. When her body is ready and she has worked with her physician, she may choose to take estrogen, but that is years away. Generally speaking, any surgeries, the most permanent of changes one can make, will wait until she is much, much older. Nothing that is being done now removes her ability to live as a girl, boy, fluid, or non-binary person later. As for the inability to produce biological children goes, a) there are options that can be explored if that is important to her and b) none of us are promised fertility. There are so, so many people unable to produce biological children for a variety of reasons. Lots of them have children in other ways. Lack of fertility is not the same as not having children of your own. This only seems weird because a conscious decision may be made in the future, but even that decision is made by plenty of cis gender people every year. I know of at least three off hand who decided they did not want biological children and had surgeries to prevent just that. Her parents are doing what is best for her being right now. They will continue to do so in the future, all while consulting with and following the advice of a physician skilled in these types of treatments. This child is healthy, happy, and most importantly, loved.
@abigough58573 жыл бұрын
Legally, you can't have hormone replacement therapy until you're 16 or sex reassignment surgery until you're 18, plus you have to go to gender clinics and speak to multiple doctors and psychiatrists before medical transition, which is why less than 0.5% of trans people feel transition related regret. Every way she has transitioned so far (e.g changing pronouns and growing her hair) is completely reversible, in a few years she could start puberty blockers but they are also completely reversible.

Kids are very vulnerable to suggestions. Liking certain toys, clothes, or colors does not mean trans. I’m an all girl mom with 3 daughters. Only one likes pink, bows, and girly things. The other two have no interest in girly things and I could get them anything they dreamed of and if it arrived pink they’d probably instantly hate it, but I guarantee they aren’t trans. One of my daughters has an oversized sweatshirt Billie Eilish clothing style but talks of wearing sneakers under her wedding dress that match her husbands. I feel that children should just be, and later on if they’re struggling ask them questions to help them figure things out but don’t suggest or rush into anything.

I believe that children this young don't have the mental maturity to make these life changing decisions for themselves. If after, maybe about age 12 and a lot of counseling, they still feel this way, I'd say go ahead. And I don't think it's appropriate for the parents to show their child on camera.

A child that age is much too young to transition. Kids learn sex education at around 11 years old. What deep feeling would they have about gender? And even if they do have an innate understanding, kids are not equipped to make that decision. A person simply should be an adult at least before deeciding to make such a decision.

The most important thing is to define what really is "old enough". I never had a pretty room or played dress up. My mom let me do my thing but she would always encourage me to be more girly or do "girly" things. I am so grateful I didn't grow up in this day and age, these poor children must be so confused and so are their parents! Today I am a girly girl, married to a wonderful husband and have a gorgeous baby boy. Just because your child has shown interest in something "not meant for their gender" does not mean you now have to change their identity completely! Then again, if parents these days responded the way my mother did back in the day, they would be called out for "not supporting their child in this modern world".....and what a world it has become!

She said she did not really she just wanted to enjoy the freedom our brothers enjoy, they were able to go out and stay out late and did not do much choirs, meanwhile she feel stuck on the house baby sitting me and my smaller brother and stuck cooking cleaning and laundry. She just did not want to do any of that, so becoming a boy was how her young brain told her to escape. @parksnewbornportraiture4989 Жыл бұрын
There is a big difference between “I wish I was a boy”, “I like boy things”, and “I am a boy in my brain.” I am a non-binary adult. As a child, I always knew, but sort of didn’t. It wasn’t just that I liked a lot of girl things, it was that I always saw - and continue to see - myself with gender fluidity. I didn’t really understand what it was because my parents are very conservative and at the time, they probably didn’t really know transgender existed in the way we are beginning to understand now. I didn’t/don’t “wish to be a girl”, I am just not completely a man on the inside and never have been. My son, however, is a boy. Two years ago, he told my wife “I want to be a girl.” She asked “why do you want to be a girl?” His answer, “girls (his sisters) have belts and I want belts.” Lol So my wife asked “do you want to be a girl, or do you want belts?” He said “I want belts.” So, we bought him some belts, plain ones, sparkly ones. He loves his belts. He also loves his unicorn dress that he picked out himself. But despite his love for dresses and pink, he is quite clear that he’s a boy. As much as he loves “girl” things, he also loves the “boy” things. These are preferences, not gender identity. As of right now, he shows no signs of gender fluidity like me. My wife was a tomboy as a child. To a degree, she still is. But she has always been a woman.

I'm 24 now and at age 7, I realized I'm really different from other boys. I hate to be called he/him and hate to be treated as a boy. I feel embarrassed when I use the male washroom, so I never go to the public toilet for one and a half decades. But I just got to understand what's transgender at age 22. Throughout the 15 years, I tried to commit suicide five times and fortunately, I didn't succeed. After coming out as a transgender girl last year, I realized how beautiful the world is. The world doesn't change, but I changed my way to see the world. I always ask myself why didn't I start my transition in the early days. That would definitely ease my anxiety and pressure during my puberty. But anyway, I wish more parents would understand their kids in the future and more happy kids can grow in the way they are.
