I was born in 1966. At age 7 I asked to start dressing like a boy down to the under ware and I had my waist length hair cut into a boy's style. My mom supported my choices. Turns out I'm just a tomboy. Totally heterosexual, married 27 years lol. But I really liked having my opinions heard and having the support of my parents.

Ya same I’m a girl and I just enjoy wearing clothes made for guys because they are more comfortable and look better. I also enjoyed both playing with barbies and with things like toy cars. I’m heterosexual though and I’m glad my parents didn’t decide to change my gender when I was five.

Me too... I was happy when i could dress myself because I dressed boyish to be comfortable. Played rough games like boys did because I was just a tomboy. My parents never spoke to me like this is what boys do and this is what girls do or this isnt for girls or that isnt for boys. They let me be.. And I'm heterosexual too with a son and husband.Clothes has nothing to do with being a certain gender.

Same here. At one point I was absolutely sure that I wanted to just be a boy. My parents never encouraged any of my choices but they would support me and listen to what I had to Express. Obviously as I grew older, it was evident that I was just a tomboy lol.

In my area people follow all the gender stereotypes when they dress their children. If you ask if a child in a pink allover is a boy or a girl, the parents will judge you. But my mother never dressed me 100% girly, as well as she never dressed my brothers 100% boyish, like, you know, we could play with each other's toys, wear each other's clothes. And now when our separated parents married each other again, our father started spreading all these disgusting stereotypes and applying them on the youngest children in the family

Liking pink, dolls, dresses etc doesn't make you a girl. Lots of girls don't like these things, it doesn't make them a boy. But that's what the child claimed to be the reason to change. She could have still liked all these traditional "feminine" activities etc and be a boy.

I got a bit more then that out of what they said. I doubt very much it was just about wearing dresses or not. Stop and think about the amount of people that have probably not realized they had similar things going on in their heads and then ended up on medication and all sorts. The fact that grown men have gone through wars to prove they are men only to leave the army with honors to then transition. Because its more then just frilly dresses.

I shake my head at the fact that those who think you can just swap genders willy nilly are the ones that are THE MOST fixated on gender roles. @@dianachin4849 Time will change that. I can understand why people would feel odd about it. This is still a new thing. Well open in society new. The more people are out and about doing there thing the more people will feel comfortable. The fact that a woman was so distressed by what she deemed a man in a women's toilet actually says more about how little we trust men in society. For very good reason. It certainly would not be the first time some perv has been in a toilet trying to get to kids. So probably less about the trans and more about the man. The only issue I see is that a child should not be plastered all over the internet just because she's transgender. Yes, as a parent it's your job to ensure your child's happiness, and safety. I DON'T see how it could possibly be safe to put your child on the internet at such a young age. If when she is older and wants to tell her own story that's one thing, but to put your child on blast for ANYONE to make fun of, belittle, or receive down right cruel remarks doesn't seem like "protecting" your child. I wish people would stop putting their small children on the internet for being "different" when chances are at some point they will see the DISGUSTING things people say about them, and then the child will TRULY suffer emotionally!!!

@@MLPRainbowFantasy Yeah no, thats complete nonsense. A child does not really know what they are doing or what they say. Kids learn by how their parents interact with them. The parents just saw him play with dolls and instantly crushed this idea into his head. A child could have saw it in the TV and know says it. Just when you say a bad word they instantly adapt it. Children dont even know what a Gender is. A girl just knows that she looks different but nothing more. He probably doesnt even know what this process means. Thats why children should not be allowed to transition until they are done with puberty. Your body and hormones change when you get into puberty and that could have been just a phase, but then it’s probably to late. So stop with your crap and educated yourself.

Just because someone likes "stuff" the other gender is commonly associated with (which is absolutely idiotic btw) does not mean you're automatically transgender. If this is what she is believing then there may be regret in the future. If not then good for you. But that "I like the other genders toys, clothes etc. more so I'm the other gender" is really dangerous in some cases.

There's a huge, fundamental difference between being transgender, and being 'gender non-conforming'. Being gender non-conforming means, for example, you are a girl who prefers 'boys' toys, 'boys' clothes, etc. You don't have interests that are seen as traditionally feminine or girly, but you are still a girl, you still know you are a girl in your heart and your mind. (This was me when I was a kid!) Being transgender is VERY different. Being transgender, like the girl in the video, means you KNOW you are not the gender you were assigned at birth. You know that you are in a body which does not match up with what you feel in your mind and your heart.

I was constantly encouraged to behave more as a girl than a boy as a child. It's not much different now, since my mind still finds it hard trying to adjust to what society believes a woman should be. As an adult, most of the time, I see myself, not as a woman or a man, just me. I am more comfortable because I am learning who I am. Yeh, teaching children about sexuality at a young age is very loving. When I was 9 years old I didn't even understand what sexuality was because my parents didn't talk about it and I hardly watched TV, instead I played sports and did outdoor stuff like children should do. Parents now give children phones and let their kids watch tv shows( kids shows aren't like what they were, they have PC in them now to force a narrative). Children are very opened minded and the amount of social conditioning/engineering that has been done to promote this so-called inclusiveness is just a facade to actually create a state of confusion. When there is confusion there is division and the division is what is truth and what are lies. This has been going on for centuries. Now truth is being censored and ostracized. Gender dysphoria is a clinical diagnosis where a person, child or adult, does not associate him/her self with their biological gender at birth. in some cases, the dysphoria is very deep-rooted and to press such a person into a mould which society envisages for that person is to make that person's life a misery and possibly suicidal. Hormone blockers can be used to delay puberty, but these may not be enough and surgical intervention may be necessary. Such decisions are not made lightly but are based on psychological, life-style and need, involving clinical professionals. The main drawback from clinical intervention is the subsequent inability of transitioned children to have their own children later on in life when they become adults. This factor might not be understood in younger children.

You say "no hate" and then immediately make statements that assume the parents don't know what they are doing or would hurt their child. While not hateful necessarily, they certainly are hurtful. It's also pretty presumptuous of you to make the statement that she will "definitely feel different" when she is older. You have no way of knowing that. At this age, no child is taking hormones like estrogen or testosterone to produce gender changes. Why? Because they haven't reach puberty. Giving a child this young hormones their bodies will eventually produce if left alone would be inappropriate as well. As noted at about 4:44, at the very beginning of puberty, she may choose to take a puberty blocker. This will delay puberty without causing any permanent changes in her body. That will give her more time to make decisions about hormones. When her body is ready and she has worked with her physician, she may choose to take estrogen, but that is years away. Generally speaking, any surgeries, the most permanent of changes one can make, will wait until she is much, much older. Nothing that is being done now removes her ability to live as a girl, boy, fluid, or non-binary person later. As for the inability to produce biological children goes, a) there are options that can be explored if that is important to her and b) none of us are promised fertility. There are so, so many people unable to produce biological children for a variety of reasons. Lots of them have children in other ways. Lack of fertility is not the same as not having children of your own. This only seems weird because a conscious decision may be made in the future, but even that decision is made by plenty of cis gender people every year. I know of at least three off hand who decided they did not want biological children and had surgeries to prevent just that. Her parents are doing what is best for her being right now. They will continue to do so in the future, all while consulting with and following the advice of a physician skilled in these types of treatments. This child is healthy, happy, and most importantly, loved.

Legally, you can't have hormone replacement therapy until you're 16 or sex reassignment surgery until you're 18, plus you have to go to gender clinics and speak to multiple doctors and psychiatrists before medical transition, which is why less than 0.5% of trans people feel transition related regret. Every way she has transitioned so far (e.g changing pronouns and growing her hair) is completely reversible, in a few years she could start puberty blockers but they are also completely reversible.

The other two have no interest in girly things and I could get them anything they dreamed of and if it arrived pink they’d probably instantly hate it, but I guarantee they aren’t trans. I use to hear my older sister said she wish she was a boy all the time, she now has 7 children and a man as a mate when asked why she use to say she wanted to be a boy. She said she did not really she just wanted to enjoy the freedom our brothers enjoy, they were able to go out and stay out late and did not do much choirs, meanwhile she feel stuck on the house baby sitting me and my smaller brother and stuck cooking cleaning and laundry. She just did not want to do any of that, so becoming a boy was how her young brain told her to escape. I was a Tom boy most of my life climbing tree, go fishing, playing cards and marble games driving toy cars truck and fighting 😂 and I do it all too in dress😂 my brothers and a country life influence my interaction

There is a big difference between “I wish I was a boy”, “I like boy things”, and “I am a boy in my brain.” I am a non-binary adult. As a child, I always knew, but sort of didn’t. It wasn’t just that I liked a lot of girl things, it was that I always saw - and continue to see - myself with gender fluidity. I didn’t really understand what it was because my parents are very conservative and at the time, they probably didn’t really know transgender existed in the way we are beginning to understand now. I didn’t/don’t “wish to be a girl”, I am just not completely a man on the inside and never have been. My son, however, is a boy. Two years ago, he told my wife “I want to be a girl.” She asked “why do you want to be a girl?” His answer, “girls (his sisters) have belts and I want belts.” Lol So my wife asked “do you want to be a girl, or do you want belts?” He said “I want belts.” So, we bought him some belts, plain ones, sparkly ones. He loves his belts. He also loves his unicorn dress that he picked out himself. But despite his love for dresses and pink, he is quite clear that he’s a boy. As much as he loves “girl” things, he also loves the “boy” things. These are preferences, not gender identity. As of right now, he shows no signs of gender fluidity like me. My wife was a tomboy as a child. To a degree, she still is. But she has always been a woman.

I'm 24 now and at age 7, I realized I'm really different from other boys. I hate to be called he/him and hate to be treated as a boy. I feel embarrassed when I use the male washroom, so I never go to the public toilet for one and a half decades. But I just got to understand what's transgender at age 22. Throughout the 15 years, I tried to commit suicide five times and fortunately, I didn't succeed. After coming out as a transgender girl last year, I realized how beautiful the world is. The world doesn't change, but I changed my way to see the world. I always ask myself why didn't I start my transition in the early days. That would definitely ease my anxiety and pressure during my puberty. But anyway, I wish more parents would understand their kids in the future and more happy kids can grow in the way they are.

There is a good chance they would have had trouble with the school etc ; schools in a lot of places prefer a black and white approach despite the current advice from mental health professionals and the teachers training in most places for the last at least 30 years. I suppose it is easier to assign kids to boxes and not have to think about it.

@@MunyekaMarie Puberty is a one time event. There are many ways to suppress sex hormones, which I would imagine these children would do. Once a boy has left puberty and their growth plates close, there is no way back. Also, I believe there are many ways to close your growth plates early, which is super dangerous.

@@TrustNJesusChrist we are literally only talking about the birth certificate aka a piece of paper, not hormones, she is not taking any at the time. And birth certificates can be changed whenever, it's only paperwork.

@@user-rn7hr8lx9i Not hard to get hormone blockers. There are supplements and food you can take to make your T low and estrogen high.

I want to see an update 10-15 years from now. It will be guaranteed this CHILD will have regretted what his parents did to him based on his own emotions and feeling, that I’m sorry, are not relevant at this age. No child is this confused so young. It’s what they hear and see from the parents.
