When I went to college I realized “hey, if I work my butt off for 8 months, I can have four full months to relax” and that motivated me to work my hardest during those 8 months. If you’re going to go through Alabama, I definitely recommend Huntsville of all the cities. It’s a beautiful city and the space and rocket center is a SPACE museum and I think it would be really fun for all three of the kids plus they would get to learn some new things! Not 100% sure how they are operating but I do know It is currently open but you have to make reservations. It is really worthwhile!
