Hood of carpet
Meet our new crazy project. This time Nick's Zhiguli car so called 'kopeck' will be used as the victim. This classy, low ride car is ideal for this project.And more specifically for hood of old carpet. Pleasant viewing.

I just knew that carpet was going to soak up a massive amount of resin!! Another great project Oh and that secret mixture, we called that a milkshake where i learned it in the states, lets the filler flow out smoother and shrink less. when drying.

You guys are AWESOME!!! And your projects are AMAZING!!! That carpet looks like a big piece of candy!!! It looks so good!! I wonder what the the car would look like if you made the rest of the body have that super high glossy finish to it... It probably won't look as good as the hood does unless you had some kind of pattern (or I should say not just one plain solid color) so when you put that polyurethane coating it had a whole bunch of depth to it like the hood does... maybe if it was a two tone paint underneath it... or that sparkle painting, (I think they call it 'candy' .. but that's not what I meant when I said 'candy' earlier... I mean REAL candy earlier lol) Even if you don't do anything with the car and never finish, this experiment turned out MIND BLOWING!!! I never would have thought you could get a carpet to look that amazing!1 Maybe you could experiment with doing it with SHAG CARPET next time and get the strands to stick up and make it thicker so you see a TON of depth!!! I would think you COULD do it by keeping the carpet upside-down and spraying something on it while upside-down and letting it harden so when you turn it back the right way each of the strands are sticking up.... and then pouring epoxy over top.... Well whatever you do next I KNOW I will love because you guys haven't let me down yet! :D
