It's clear you are getting into this seriously. Good job Molly and your assistant Ben, lol. You can generate good income from this type of operation.... certainly labor intensive... as you are beginning to figure out. Lots of friends to help makes it fun as well. And the way Molly manages the kids along with everything else thats going on makes me wonder when we'll be seeing a little one coming along.

I worked for a guy planting mums one summer - forgive me for not knowing machine names but he would mix up the dirt in a feed mixer and dump it into a potting machine. The potting machine dumped dirt via a conveyor into plastic pots that we placed on it. As the pots came around after being filled with dirt we placed a mum plug in it - then it went up a conveyor belt and we got them off the belt and placed them onto an old cotton wagon trailer with a flat-bed. Then we took them to the landscape mats and placed the irrigation drippers in them.

Interesting setup I didn’t realise you could get pumpkin plantings, we usually get tomatoes as plantings. Like irrigation setup usually I hold hose, spraying water over pumpkin mounds. Next you be growing cabbage patch kids LOL

Suggestion re amount of watering on a regular basis. With a spaghetti watering system like this we used to put 1 of the legs of a waterer into a 1lb jam jar (as this volume seemed to frequently serve us best) and when the jar was full turn off the supply - dump the water captured in the jar into the plant nearby. Several advantages of this simple system is that it automatically coped with alterations in the supply pipe pressure during the watering process eg if you were using a hand lance watering on other plants off the same supply so if supply pressure dropped checking the jar took longer to fill etc. It also looks as though you are growing plants on a slope so I would expect gravity to have some effect on pressure. If so put a couple of extra same size jars about one third / two thirds along the supply pipe and see if there is indeed a difference in the time taken to fill a jar at each point - hopefully not = even watering!! I would kindly suggest that you would get more pots and just keep it to one per pot. They will get very large and crowd each other out. Enjoying the process of you guys starting up
