James Whale and Ben Habib discuss the implications of the 2024 UK general election for the Reform UK Party. Ben argues that the party's five seats are a stepping stone for building a national movement, while James questions the fairness of the electoral system.
They later discuss the party's political strategy and media portrayal, with Ben emphasizing the party's focus on representing the British people and challenging the current globalist orthodoxy, while James raises concerns about the party's efficiency and association with controversial figures.

@@GTA_6_Clips What has Britain given to the world? Transport and engines, bicycles, pistons, and piston rings. The first ships with engines, steam turbines, and turboprop planes (gas turbines). Front-engined cars, tarmac roads, steel bridges, catseye reflectors, and caterpillar tracks. Important farming equipment. Portland cement. Hyper-fine measuring tools. Stainless steel, steel hammers, and mass production of glass. First long-distance communication (the birth of the internet) The telephone, television, radars, cat scaners, ultrasound, navigation clocks, the atomic clock, the world wide web, gas stoves, tin cans, the flushing toilet, and clean water. discovery of the proton, neutron, and electron, as well as anti-matter and the discovery of the atom. discovery of the structure of the DNA (DNA finger printing). Antiseptics, antibiotics, vaxines, gravity/motion (Newton), Law of Optics Electric enduction, the invention of calculus. The contribution from Britain was utterly fundamental, without these advancements, our lives would be horrid. Britian did do some bad things in the past, but it's not a drop in the bucket of lives saved by clean water, antibiotics, and vaxcines. The world should be thanking us...

Fishing was running scared because he knew Rwanda wouldn’t happen and when that came to light he couldn’t afford to wait six months for an election. His support would have collapsed and Reform would have had time to build a larger base and contest every seat. Had he waited until later in the year the Tories would have been sunk and Reform would win double digit seats, maybe enough to hit six million votes. However as their support is spread country wide rather than concentrated I doubt they would challenge Labour.

The system will at long last be scrutinised. It's a disgrace to let it continue.
@sirensoulegaming4158
@sirensoulegaming4158 12 күн бұрын
It's been scrutinised for ages, there was a referendum for an "alternative voting system" during the Tory Lib Dem coalition government on it, that was one of the major conditions the Lib Dems put forward as being necessary for the coalition to happen. It lost, by quite a big margin too. We had a chance to make our voices known then but people CHOSE to keep FPTP. It's not fair to pretend it *hasn't* been scrutinised. Lib Dems have been scrutinising it for ages, and Greens have been scrutinising it ever since they've slowly gained relevance as well.

@sirensoulegaming4158

@@hevchip741 well, scrutinising something doesn't inherently mean it's something thats bad or needs changing. Sometimes scrutinising something verifies that actually said thing is good. In fact that's how most science works. People write papers and other scientists actively scrutinise their work to ee if there's anything wrong. "Scrutinize" does not mean that something will be determined to be wrong, hence my original response to your comment. I AGREE that the voting system is unfair but the way you spoke didn't really make sense to me.

Nigel stood for Parliament firstly in 1994 as a Tory candidate he failed and failed on a 6 further occasions. For his 8 attempt and after Carpetbagging the Reform Candidate Giles Watling for Clacton (who did so much to develop a Reform following there ) Nigel was finally elected to a position he had craved for so long. Strangely though, in nearly 30 years of him vying to be a British MP, he never once voiced, campaigned or spoke out against the UK Electoral System but since last Friday he hasn't stopped ? I was under the impression it was only the Leftie snowflakes that complained about the rules in place, apparently not.
