I have moved many times and have a few suggestions. - lamps shades can be put in box as if it was on a lamp. Then fill in spots with some of your smaller breakable items. - use things like dish cloths, linen, even clothing as "bubble wrap". You have to pack those too so use them. Clothing can wrap items from bedrooms; dish towels for kitchen items; linen for living room and bath towels for bathroom stuff. - use any storage containers not in use to hold small items even if just kitchen stuff. Then pack into boxes - saw so much extra room in your boxes that could have held cords, extra toilet paper, napkins, etc. - for your lamps you could have put soft pillows in the he box on top/bottom/sides then put in lamps. - extra shoes can be used for holding socks, hosery, jewelry, small breakable item, etc. Hope this helps for future moves.

spot on!! all of those storage containers could have been filled up then put in the box. It makes the unpacking process a little less seamless but I would prefer that over leaving stuff behind. Another suggestion would have been to rent a small storage unit for stuff that wouldnt fit and when ready to move rent out a small uhaul to attach to your suv to put those items that wouldnt fit. Your stuff is so pretty I cant imagine the thought of leaving all that stuff behind.

@@Danycrumble Stuff is way to expensive to just leave. Surely there was some notice before the move. At least try to sell what you don't want. Unless of course the new owners want/need the furniture.

This reminds me of where I was this time last year! Moving is no joke! From Oklahoma to Ohio. I don't care if I ever see another roll of Bubble wrap again-ha!

My moving tips. Use out of season clothing, extra linens, towels etc in place of bubble wrap. Get boxes that are as close to the same size as possible.

When we moved we used our own clothes, sheets, towels, curtains to pack fragile items. It worked perfectly. You are doing a great job. Its not easy to pack a whole house. You will be amazed how much stuff you collect throughout the years. Can't wait to see your new house 🏡

Came here to say this. Such a waste to throw all your pillows, blankets, and towels into a box all alone. They make great cushion for fragile items!

I’ve always used a moving company and it has been worth every penny, time and stress. They come pack you and pick up and unpack you. I would rather pay movers than go on a vacation. Lol moving is the most stressful thing. Props to you for doing it.

They say colors have different affects on our moods based on who we are. Like blue for example makes some people feel relaxed and calm and others it makes them sad. I feel like you used a big amount of blue in this house and that reminds me of the gloomy winter sky! 💙 My goal is to move to a place where it’s warm year around. Maybe use brighter, happier colors in your next home! 🧡💛💚

I started watching you during lockdown in 2020 and your videos and home have felt like a safe place ever since. During a time where home became even more important you inspired me to keep it very clean,organized, and to make it my own. I don’t envy you. It’s been three years since we moved and I still remember it like it was yesterday. I thought we would be here forever. But we really need a little bigger house with some storage. Even my husband agrees. When the grandkids come here it’s just crazy. And they were all here a little over a week ago. When it’s just us and the dogs it’s okay. But put one person or kid in here and it gets a lot smaller. We need somewhere for the kids to hang out. We lived in our old house 27 years. We had to start with cleaning out the attic. Actually my husband did that. He got things down and I went through all of it. Most of it belonged to our daughters. We had nowhere to go for over a year when we moved. All of our stuff was in a storage unit. Even after we moved it was for a few years. That gets expensive. So we bought a big shed. And that is our storage. And I don’t even go in there. We moved with boxes, totes and whatever else we could find. We could barely walk in this little place when we got all our stuff in. But if we move from here it will be local. And we can take a little at a time. We moved from Ohio to Georgia with three dogs. And then we stayed with my daughter, son in law, and five kids. It was a tight fit. But it was fun for a while. Then we stayed at a motel for months after that. My husband said he will never be homeless again. So we won’t be moving until we find a place we both love. And we will make sure it’s ready before we leave this house.

Good job packing it is rough .I can not wait to see the clean with me .I wait daily for the new videos. Drive safe and have fun when you arrive to florida go see the lions and tigers so you can let forrest run around and play so he will be tired out for the ride I always took the afternoons off on long car rides with the kids so they can run and play after lunch and than get dinner get back in the car for the final destination it helps a lot. Drive safe can not wait O and video some of your car ride like fmily fun and clean out the car LOL

I couldn’t believe how much plastic packaging you still use to move in the US… In Japan, I have never used those plastic bubble sheets even 2 decades ago, but the moving company gives you boxes filled with special sponges which you can just slide breakable things like plates or photo frames in between the sponges. It’s free and you return when you finish putting them away in your new place. They also have boxes for clothes on hungers. It’s like a closet but made by cardboard and they reuse. Wrapping materials for big furniture like refrigerator or piano are still reusable. Cardboard boxes were also for free and rent. You basically never through away anything but return and reuse. Omg why we don’t export the whole systems and materials!

Wow it's going very well, I love these videos ! Is the bag behind you around 12:30 was actually trash or it was other stuff ? Ahaha cause if it's trash, it looks like you've tossed some old clothes in it prior to filming and I struggle so much to discard any clothes that can't be donated that I highly wished you could film. I guess it's too late now, but I hope you'll keep it it mind even if it's 1 or 2 pieces at the time and not a full declutter it would give me some motivation as no ones film that 😅

Hello Alexandra, you made me tired just watching you . You all should have got a UHAUL trailer to hook behind your SUV so you could get your desk and other things you left behind. My love and prayers are with you all, I hope you enjoy living in Florida, it’s a big adjustment, I used to live there. Nice place to visit for awhile but there is no place like home. Best wishes 🥰♥️
