I can relate. I used to have a family with 2 young girls overhead. Betweeen the constant elephant races from room to room, the nightly I-don't-want-to-go-to-bed stomping, the 5:20AM vibrating submarine claxon alarm clock, and drifts of stuff falling from their balcony onto my patio (from garbage to clothing to toys) that never got picked up. The parents agreed the kids made noise, but never did anything to abate the noise. They finally moved out, and the apartment was gutted and rebuilt. The construction noise was less than the family was.

I can't deal with noise when I'm awake much less when trying to sleep. Glad you guys will be moving and hope you find peace in your new home.

I OVERstand Ling and Lamb. I’ve been in apartments, townhomes and dorm rooms with the most inconsiderate neighbors ever. I THANK GOD for my single family home UNattached home and it feels great. Aside from it being unattached, it is just a sweet peace to not be surrounded by inconsiderate people. CONGRATULATIONS to you two, praying the absolute best to you!!!

That's totally unacceptable. I worked in Property Management for 8 years and I would never have allowed that. Ling and Lamb you said it right , it's poor management. 🙄 All they had to do was send a 7- Day Non-Compliance Or Cure . The last result is notice to vacate ! I'd never loose good tenants for violators ❣ Their loss!

I moved last summer! My neighbors were the worst. You could hear clear convos, arguments, etc. The kids were loud. When I would complain they were confrontational. It was the worst!! Happy yall got a better place. Peace and blessings!🙃

I totally agree with you about loud and inconsiderate neighbors.Im on the first floor and my sons are grown and don't live at home. The family above has a screaming 3yr old running, jumping. Across the hall is a family with 2 children with one that screams when she doesn't get her way. Upstairs from him there is family with a 5yr old with behavior problems. Now, we have a neighbor whose kitchen wall is next to my bedroom and his music so loud (2, 3 o'clock in the morning)other neighbors ask him to turn it down. Its in our lease no loud music after 11pm. we've called the police and he got a citation. I don't have the money to move and one day i will. I wish you well and enjoy your new home.

I feel you on this. I had a neighbor to leave her water running in the sink to thaw out a turkey on thanksgiving and went to sleep. I was awaken with water running out of light fixtures and down the walls. I had water EVERYWHERE throughout my space and management said "OH WELL, will you be paying your rent tomorrow". . . . . I am SO happy that you guys were able to get out of that situation. I’ve had the same issue living with heavy steppers/disrespectful people over my head. It’s gotten to the point where just the sound of footsteps over my head gives me anxiety. I think it’s fair to say that top floor renters should be held accountable in some way. Can relate. I was always going to their door at 1am to ask them to reduce the volume. Eventually it became the building requirement that no loud music is allowed after 11pm right after I reported them. It’s shameful of them as older people not that younger ones should do same . Unfortunately my son and I cannot afford to move at this time, but definitely am praying for some relief asap. It’s so crazy that management gives no resolves and primarily due to $$$$.
