We've been elite for 69 years but if we're in the Championship next year, we're there, League one the year after that, we're there. Leicester were not considered elite by anyone before they won the league. They were then considered semi-elite for a season or two afterwards, but have gone back to being irrelevant in the minds of most football fans. Literally no club is too big to go down.

A home game against Liverpool and away to Newcastle is likely to result in two losses. That leaves the final game against West Ham which they might win, but 3 points won't be enough to escape relegation. Leicester is doomed. Allowing Schmeichel to leave for peanuts is going to be the most expensive mistake Leicester has ever made. I reckon they would have up to 10 points more had he been between the sticks this season.

Shouldn't have sacked Ranieri and got all big for their boots. Yes they were having a crap time (17th if memory serves?) when they did it, but they're Leicester and they somehow won the league and the following season managed to get out of the group stage of the Champions League. Leicester. League winners. Knockout stage of Champions League. Leicester. At the beginning of that season not even the most die hard Leicester fans realistically imagined they'd come anywhere close to doing any of that, then suddenly they should magically be top four every season. This relegation battle is the bucket of cold water they've been needing for a while now.

Elite? Not sure about that. Blackburn have been out of the top flight for years and they won the Premier League, it was only ever going to be a one-off despite the Jack Walkers millions. Leicester won it against the odds. They've been amazing in a 7 years spell and played great football but "elite" and too big to go down is a bit far fetched.

Gurinder has been a star recently though 😅 Obviously these fans dont represent all Leicester fans, I know Leicester has had a great 7 years or so, but I think if you look at big clubs that have struggled (Leeds, Wolves, Forest, Villa), the fans stuck with them, maybe lesser clubs dont have that.

@@Wickedpissah41 that's correct, in the past few years Leicester have tried to get somet going with Derby but it's not reciprocated they have a bit of a rivalry with Forest but nothing like Derby do so Coventry is the only club that really cares about Leicester

There is only 2 elite clubs in the league in terms of size and that’s man United and Liverpool, the massive clubs are arsenal,Chelsea and the big clubs are Everton,villa,Newcastle,Leeds,spurs, rest are small, elite gets thrown about way too much
