Hi friends! It’s time for me to setup my budget planner for the next year. It seems early but I’ll explain why in November lol. Thanks for watching friends!

I recommend putting the covers on the back and front at the same time. They go on easier with less tare on the cover holes. Also, spin the discs around with a soft cloth before putting them in or if the ones you have in are not turning well, and that will make them easier to turn pages on. That sleeks them up to turn easier.

Haha I get that. I ran and grabbed it when it was released. It’s a Walmart line happy planner just in case your thinking of getting it 😉😂

Love Budgetmom budget planner, did same for several years in big hp. That size is nice because you can just print without trimming anything. Currently tho I'm gonna use my vast supply of hp classic. I tried hp budget pages but just isn't cutting it. Another trick for metal discs is to rub each side with wax paper. Although I prefer plastic, metal are much prettier and this seems to make a difference with paper movement.

So true! I love the big because you don’t have to mess with sizing anything but the best planners are always classic sized 🤣😭🥰🌸

I’m all for redacting. I just picked up nine Happy planners for $40 from Hobby Lobby. Five of them are work+ life planners with the metal discs and hard covers! I print the budget mom workbook for budget too every single year. I don’t know what I would do without it!

Dang that’s a steal. I should probably check my hobby lobby for clearance lol. Sometimes just buying them for the discs and certain sections is worth it when you find good clearance. Yes, I’m totally loving the printable. It’s been great for me. 💜

It’s a good excuse to use stickers if you like stickers lol! I’m using a new digital debt tracker and I’m loving it. It’s kind of nice do a paper digital combo 🌸💕

Oooohhh I echo you sentiments regarding The Budget Mom's system. It has been a total game changer for me for sure. I purchased the printable version myself this year and so glad. I've been using the box set this year because I prefer a smaller size and portability, but this year I'm going to repurpose a 2023 7x9 planner I tried, but didn't like. Great set up! Thanks for sharing your set up - so helpful.

very helpful and informative video. I am switching to Plum Paper for my 2024 weekly set up but used the budgetmom in past years for budgeting. I like your idea of using only the pages needed… I was on the fence regarding coil or disc binding…but after your video…know that disc will be better and give me the flexibility in my planner pages that I felt I did not have in my 2023 planner. hi, stef. I love this..i usually start in october as well for the same reason.. I cant stop talking about TBM.. i think i'm going to do the same as you for our fixed/joint expenses using the happy planner.. i'll have to buy the 'big' planner, as I won't have to cut down the pages. great video.

Yay glad I’m not the only one with the weird October start lol. Yes, I definitely prefer the big because you don’t have to do anything other than print. I know lots of people size them down for the classic sizes though too. 💕🌸

Love TBM! I've seen lots of folks saying the new books changeable cover comes off too easily. I'm planning on getting the papers budget book by Jessica Ann.
