Weird issue with the Link there. But if it's capable of running it after the correct setting we're set, the Link isn't the issue - Inexperience with the Link in that particular hardware configuration is the issue. Strange how the guys at Link couldn't figure it out though.

As I said in previous videos, the quality and attention to detail in your work and builds is unrivaled and second to none. And this is the only thing that speaks to enthusiasts, I couldn't care less about anything else, no gossip, no beef. No one on youtube has this level of attention to detail, people are rebuilding rusty engines without even degreasing them, here it's all new zinc plating or nothing. This is what I want to see.

Prp and haltech literally built and r/d the trigger kit and work hand in hand together in Australia. I know motec and prp work really well but the big skyline builders usually use them two combos.

@@liammcgrath6184 the silcone hose off the turbo outlet hurts I've had 2 of those fail from heat from the manifold

@@Supra_Rankin ive always been a fan of wiggins or v band clamps on the outlet of the turbo, can seal good, get good rotation and looks clean too with different anodising of the clamp cover.

ironic that on a SR20DET with a Link ECU the rev limiter (with proper soft/hard cut settings) never pops rockers or causes problems with the head and they're so finicky, RB26's heads are wayyy more robust. sounds like a mechanical/assembly error more than the ECU if it happened one of the first times a limiter setting was used... Also weird to blame the ECU settings when it was user error more than anything.

don't blame the link there are thousands of videos with this happening on Haltech ecus. you put an aftermarket trigger kit on the engine and don't know how to set it up

Haltech is life. Don't know much about Link. But know PRP Trigger kits + Haltech is a solid working set up. Lots of Skylines in my area running the set up and their tuner or shops always commend the workhorse combo.

Definitely shouldn't be using synthetic oil on break in. The polymers are too small, causes issues with bedding rings in properly etc.

btw the way, the reason why the link isn't working with the trigger kit, i believe is because the reluctor gives off voltage compared to the other hall effect sensors. so if your scope is over 200v or not enough in the ecu, your waveform might go over the scope allowance which will then give you the trigger error.

Always a good idea to break the motor in with the stock CAS. You know it works with little tweaking. Then plug in and setup the trigger. It can be difficult especially on the Links as you’ve experienced.

I will say that will be hard to achieve like that R34 engine bay, but accessible, when R34 has to me little over kill, but beautiful...So let´s see EDit those HKS lettering in valve cover should be in black, that painted engine bay🥰🥰🥰

Only thing I don't care for is the raw cooling panel. Your eye is drawn to it. Needs to be black so the focus is on that beautiful engine and all the details of the bay.
