Hey guys!! Off the topic of Robotics, but still really cool, is the free stuff my class has received from writing companies a business letter!! So check out this video to see what my some of my students have received back from these companies!! Hope you enjoy!!

The kid that got the stuff from Puma (book bag and stuff) was LUCKY.

I did this in 5th grade. I believe I wrote to Pepperidge Farms because I liked Goldfish and they sent me some coupons lol. I’m 26 now so that was a long time ago. However, I actually just sent a thank you letter to a company for making their products as they’ve drastically helped me in my life. I don’t expect anything and it was a genuine letter of gratitude. But I still implemented some of the formatting learned in fifth grade. 😂

it is!!!! I was shocked how many of my students had never addressed an envelope before. Hey, if they learn that in my class, at least they'll know it! Thanks Paul!!

I think sending a letter would be better than e mail because it’s shows more respect and effort you put into it even though email are free.

I think so too BlueSky. I think they appreciate the effort and the time it took to write, address, and stuff the envelopes.

What is a self-addressed stamp envelope?

An envelope that you address to yourself and put a stamp on and then put it inside the envelope that you mail to the company. The company will find it easier to send you things the more easy you make it.

Tjey basically wrote a business letter stating what they liked about the brand, asking for what they might want, what they would do with the free stuff, and an appreciation ending.
