What's wrong with people who do this? Why do they even keep a dog? You know she had more than 1 puppy. Dogs NEED kindness and bonding with humans. Unlike wolves dogs DEPEND on humans and want their love. Look how grateful she is for just holding her. Thanks!

When will these people learn that the dogs 🐕 will not run away, as long as they are treated well and have a kennel for protection from the weather? A chain is not necessary to restrain them. A little love and food is what these faithful companions need for unconditional love ❤ and protection in return. 😢 May God bless 🙌 you abundantly for all the work you do to save his defenseless creatures ❤

What CRIME did this mama-dog and her baby commit to be chained for 3 years, surrounded by rubbish? There is no excuse for this CRUELTY. None! She's so loving, so forgiving. Thank you Sir Takis for rescuing this precious girl & her cute baby from such miserable conditions ❤ So basically she was a happy & innocent puppy, received her first collar but instead of being the symbol of belonging to someone & the promise of enjoyable walks, it served to chain her up in a filthy place behind the house, to make her defenseless and an easy target for dogs in heat, to make it impossible for her to properly have her litter(s) and to look after her puppies... let alone to prevent "them" from taking her babies away 😭 Well done "owners"! 😡 And yet she finds it in herself to wag her tail in the arms of her savior Takis 🤍❤

I think there needs to be a massive education programme there to teach people how to treat animals. They should teach the children in schools. This chaining of animals is so cruel.Thankyou Takis for your never ending compassion, and all who help you

Do you read the Community section for this channel? There is a lot of important information (non-video posts from FB). Several months ago there were photos and a post of Ieropetra Municipal Police Officer Giannis Marinos Gaitanakis leading the first group of high school students on a tour of the shelter. Several weeks ago, Officer Gaitanakis led the school's Animal Welfare interest group or club on a tour of the shelter. On a video last year, Takis took a formerly homeless puppy and kitten from an elementary school teacher who had added the animals into her class for lessons on rescue and care of stray animals. Children who have hands-on loving experiences with animals better understand the concept that non-human animals are sentient beings who should have recognized and respected rights (bottom to top social change). Animal cruelty laws and enforcement are needed for the minority of humans who are evil (top to bottom change). 💞🥰

People are cruel when they have no empathy. They have no ability to relate to what the animals must be feeling. Perhaps they convince themselves that animals don't 'feel'. It's so ignorant because anyone who looks into an animal's eyes (especially with dogs) should be able to see the fear and suffering. Perhaps being locked in a jail cell for awhile, eating crap food, would teach the owner of these dogs some empathy. 🫨

It is so cruel to keep a dog like that on a chain in such a terrible mess I don't see the point why they need a dog on leash there to guard what ? No one would want that junk ! How they do that and sleep at night? My dog had a car accident, we had to cut her tail and she was wearing a collar for 2 months last summer which was very hot. I couldn't find peace because i was thinking what she was going through! Poor souls! Sorry because humans are so cruel against you! Thank you Takis! A new happy life for two more beautiful souls! Takis explained on FB that the cat belongs to the neighbours who made a complaint about the chained girl. He said he can't take the cat away from her home (she lives inside & goes out to play with the puppy) and place her in the shelter 😊

This poor Mama can't even enjoy her baby. She was thrown out there with the rest of the garbage. What is the point. Pure ignorance. Another sad story, but that sad story is over now. Mama and baby are heading for an incredible journey, joy and happiness. Can't wait to see how well they do.

She had the mother chained with the puppy running around so the mother can’t even take care of her baby how sick is that? The “owner” needs to be locked in the chain for the rest of her life with no food, water or shelter just like she did to that poor momma

Mother dog and her pup, both pee when the volunteer and Takis pick them up. It looks like they hardly have any human contact. Most puppies have a pink and tender skin around their bellies but the skin on this tiny pup looks dry and wrinkled, the result of living in the dirt and filth. Thank you, Takis and volunteer, for taking them away from their miserable life.

Eine Hündin angekettet schutzlos den Rüden ausgeliefert und ihr Junges bekommen lassen, daß ist sehr grausam. Ich frage mich jedesmal, wie viele Orte gibt es denn noch, wo Hunde angekettet sind. She's probably never had a gentle touch. Poor precious darling!!! Thank you for taking her & her darling puppy. She won't know what to make of actually being free from the chain. So sad, but now a new beginning for them both! And maybe the cat too as it wanted a ride LOL
