Consciousness is not for everyone, although most would argue this point, they’d be wrong. For the sole reason that most people don’t have a clue what it means to be conscious. Again humans were stripped of this education buy aforementioned leaders. People in general (I am oversimplifying this) are in 1 or more of the 4 major categories: Instinctive, Compliant, Conscious, Spirit. Most humans are both Instinctive and Compliant with a flare into Consciousness. Most Humans and below do not have soul or maybe I should say their soul is spelled with a little 's'. All life needs a power source, and the soul (with the little s) is that power source, it is the drive behind life, it is the reason the heart continues to beat for years and years. Most people are born, and instincts are in charge, the soul is just battery. Animals and Humans both follow this process. As humans grow, they either follow an instinctive path of “Alpha Male/Female or Follower” or they learn and comply to the Social-Core (and sometimes even question it). So far, this is the norm and the soul remains power source for the host, who is instinctively in charge and trained by social core or disciplined by society. People in the first 3 categories may deny the existence of the soul unless they go to church, then they told it is something that they own and can lose. None are able to understand most ideas of the Awakening, and as far as I am concerned, the people that believe they don’t have a soul are correct, they really don’t have a soul, they have a power-source that powers their instincts. But the humans who are questioning life and its purpose… Usually recognize the rut of the social-core and raising an eyebrow to its programming. They are either heading towards the Awakening or in the beginning stages of it. This is when the energy inside reaches up and touches a sliver of consciousness. It becomes more than just a power-source and the battle for control over consciousness begins. For many that have no clue about what is going on, this could drive them insane.
What is the purpose of life? "To give a soul a chance to become!" Everyone would hear that and say "Wow, that's cute." But the Awakening would ask "To become what?" and here is the kicker "To become Aware of It's … self". At this point you have to make a choice, which side are you going to feed? The host will not give up without a fight, (for most humans) it has been instinctively in charge from birth, the brain follows, interprets, and empowers the instinctive side. If you decide to turn the soul in to a Soul, this starts that internal war as you push conscious control over to your energy side and force your host to submit to your leadership.
