Oh no, they have a BRILLIANT key forward, apparently. Trash Johnson 😂 I agree with you COMPLETELY. This is the club that passed on Tony Lockett because we had Sav Rocca though 😂 Don't get me wrong, I loved the big Sav, and Anthony, but c'mon, Plugger. Even if just to keep the all time goals record @ Vic Park 😂 Also drafting Gerard Healy after he flat out said he was 98% certain he would never play again *facepalm. Good key forwards are hard to come by and there are none around. Not any that will move away from their present clubs anyway.

It's an interesting one... It seems like the Pies are comfortable with their make up of the small forwards right now, whilst awaiting for the return of Dan.

Excellent summary Anthony. With the Pies current luck (or lack of it) they will both in the team on Friday night. I'm kidding of course but the Pies record in these drafts is pretty good so hopefully they turn out to be okay.

@@PiesFooty Looking at the hi-lights of these guys on the club website they both look okay. Sure, VFL and EFL footy isn't the AFL but they do look like they will be players.

He could be a chance mitch! With Pendles out, we do need a bigger, more physical midfielder in there! Good thing for us Ned would already know our system due to being in the VFL Squad. If he doesn't make the cut expect to see beau attend more centre bounces.

Before the draft came into existence if you found out about a good player you invited to train if he was good enough he played if not he didn’t but now if you lose players like the pies have this year we are behind the eight ball for the season

Interesting. I feel like the mid season draft is a happy medium. They're also introducing a mid season draft for AFL listed players also (next year I believe).

Yep, I agree with your comments about affiliated players getting first option to join the clubs they're playing with. Also worth noting that the players drafted have contracts that expire on 31st Oct 2024, unless they've nominated a requirement for a year and a half such as Teakle. This may have turned the club off from drafting him, as I've a feeling that the club is aiming at Rory Lobb with Macrae as possible bait.

The only midfielder in Longs draft year who had a higher disposal/goal average per game, is this guy called Nick daicos (probably never heard of him) happy as fuck, can play tall or as a mid, wiiiiiin

Why do you keep giving AJ props? He's a jib. If he was even a half decent player he'd have gotten a game in the last month. They rushed Checkers back in, 2 weeks early, losing him for a month now before trusting Trash Johnson with a game.

Listen here mate, Ash played poorly In a period where the whole entire team was struggling! 0-3 start suggests the whole team was underperforming. Ash Johnson deserves another chance mate! 🤫

He was down while everyone was down early in the season. He is also playing in an extremely undermanned VFL side right now. I think he will get at least one more chance! If he doesn't take that opportunity, then he may get delisted come seasons end.

@@ChrisCasset If the VFL side is so undermanned he, as a worthy AFL key forward, should be getting BOG for us every game. Has that been happening? Not with a VFL average over 8 games of; 10 disposals 5 marks 2.5 tackles 2 scoring shots!!! 1 goal, 1 point Oh geez, what have they been thinking?! Quick, get him in the team 😂😂😂 There were plenty of other players "while we were down" who managed more than half a dozen touches & were able to take marks as opposed to hearing footsteps, flinching & dropping sitters. If I'm wrong I'll be only too happy to admit it. The argument still remains, if they had any faith in him AT ALL he would at least be considered before bringing Mihocek back 2 weeks prematurely (hamstring like his is never less than 3, usually 4 - exactly what they said initially - & he was back in 2). That there is all the proof you need that the club has lost faith, so you listen there, MATE! 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤
