What an awesome trip!!
Mick and Jason start off in Licola and head into Horseyard flat where they go for a 3km Hike to First Falls, an epic waterfall!
They head upto Mt Wellington but are forced to turn around due to weather.
They hike into Guys Hut, Conglomerate Falls and Pieman Falls…. Incredible!!
Dave meets up with them, they set up camp by Lovicks Hut and cook the most delicious roast lamb in the camp oven!
You won’t wanna miss this, Tune in now!

Brother West this was a special one. Sooo special to have Brother D & little Blair Bear come up for the night after a big drive. We slowed everything down… Put our hiking boots on and really connected with some magnificent backcountry magic. The next adventure cant come soon enough 💚💚🤠🤠

Ive seen a few posts in facebook groups explaining king billy, and most say it is a basalt block stream that was laid down during volcanic activity in the Aust alps and dates back to the last ice age somewhere in the Pleistocene (>10,000yrs ago). Ice flow broke up the basalt and as the climate warmed up during the Holocene Age, the sediments/smaller material were washed away to the lower lands

That seems to be the most popular theory volcanic/earthquake causing it. Bloody impressive how it all comes about

That on king billy is called the rock rivers , it’s volcanic, first big one you come to there is a big Boulder in the middle and there use to be a tree growing out of a crack in it , have ran a dozer all the way down king billy a few years ago , great country

There is nothing quite like the Victorian High Country in the late spring and early summer, I have great memories of the epic two and three day trail rides we did way back in the late 70's. Hope this country stays open for ever.

Awesome upload as always legends! It just goes to show, that by seeing the High country out of a 4x4 is a small portion of what's really out there to be seen on foot. Just curious, what track were you on, at the boulder fields? You mentioned King Billy. I remember Tim Bates talking about them rocks once. Would love to go for a scope next time I'm out that way. Cheers!

There is so much up there to see its incredible. Adding in the 4wding and its a playground for all hey. All the things you need to get to on foot are so pristine also cause the dick heads don't get out there which is a bonus too. Yeah that track was king Billy track. Starts not far after howitt hut on the howitt Plains Rd and links over to the Mansfield way. Nice little drive
