Yeah stones did warn each other like in infinity war mind stone warned vision 2 times and stones like space,soul and mind seem to be sentient even in comics each stone was either a aspect of a being named nemesis or was given a form after infinity war comic storyline ,also there was a graphic novel about thanos and how he got mind stone in the first place.

Agreed. In the IS comic, Nebula gets the gauntlet, and despite not knowing how to use it, she still is able to effectively hold off and even imprisson the cosmic powers. Thanos explains that this is because the stones/gems themselves were protecting her, regardless of her ability to use them. In the MCU, the stones activate on their own, as it was with Red Skull, and influence others without being called to do so, such as the Mind Stone in Avengers. And they definitely want to be together, as is hinted at at the end of Age of Ultron. The stones/gems are definitely more than just cosmic power sources, and the MCU did hint at their having a will of their own, without explicitly coming out and saying it.

Thanos planned the entire MCU from the start using the mind stone to formulate a strategy, that's why he willingly gave away the mind stone. He knew he would get it back when he obtained the other stones and it was the last stone he put in the gauntlet.

It’s absolutely correct that Thanos has the mind stone *before* Loki, before Avengers 1. His plan was to have Loki conquer earth (for him) - knowing that this would give him ultimately control of space, mind and time stones. But Thanos could not come out in the open with Odin and the Asgardian ready to stop him. (The Avengers weren’t even a concern at the time, and Captain Marvel is no Match for entire empire of conquered worlds - only some of which have ever seen even today) Also Thanos didn’t know where the soul stone was. No one knew Thanos plans other than Gamora and Nebula and planned his attack after Loki caused the Ragnorok - removing Odin. So when you see Loki give Thanos the space stone at the beginning of Infinity War - and then Thanos make a blitz for the other stones that’s the end result of a brilliant scheme. *That’s why Thanos won.* Name another SuperVillain in Cinema who actually pulls off such an ingenious plan.

Wow! That has just got to be the most imaginatively and cleverly deduced theory that I've ever heard regarding the mysterious origins behind the nature of the Infinity Stones! Quite an amazing concept for further explaining Thanos' seemingly innate abilities to successfully find and assemble all six of the Infinity Stones, while also enabling him to harness and utilize each one of the stones' powers, both individually and fully combined, during his ultimate conquest of the universe!

I always saw this as thanks made the sacrifice for the soul stone, therefore showing he was aware of the prices the stones pay, as Hawkeye is the one to make the sacrifice for the soul stone, iron man and hulk were rejected by the soul stone causing stark to lose his life as an alternate sacrifice and hulk was severely wounded but as he wasnt trying to take life away his was spared by the soul stone

You guys ever think about how the mind stone could of told Thanos about previous beings that used it? like "yea that Odin guy who used me before was way stronger then you, maybe wait until the Asgardians are in ruin and low in numbers then move your big ass ship above them and take what stones they have left" lol And remember he gave Loki the mind stone even though he just met him in the end of Thor, Why would the most feared villain of space give away an infinity stone to some random guy who just joined his side? The mind stone definitely told or gave Thanos enlightenment to his cause and probably told him who Loki is, what he is and how sending him to destroy one of the realms could stir up the Asgardians and leave them defenseless(if loki succeeded he would of been a dictator of earth, Odin and Thor would have came to earth to deal with him and thanos could of destroyed asgard or taken the space stone, the avengers foiled his plans) I know thanos is a master tactician but collecting all the stones and snapping his fingers in 21 hours time without some kind of guidance from the stones is just unlikely, also weird how the mind stone which he had first ended up being the last stone he went for, Almost like he knew how powerful its mind influence was and needed 5 other stones before getting close to it again....

This is a good theory, idk Thanos is super smart. One thing I really liked on Endgame is when he’s going through Nebula’s memory, he simply responds “Avengers”. So he knows about his possible threat on earth. He studied the avengers to see what kind of edge he could have. I think for as long as Thanos has been alive he has been studying the stones for decades. Dr. Strange was able to use the Time stone pretty well by studying that one book lol I forgot the name of it. Even Loki seems to have the knowledge of the Tesseract and the Mind Scepter coming from the other theory of Odin possibly having the stones in the past to conquer the nine realms. I think out of everyone in the MCU, Thanos is just too obsessed with the stones and learned every bit of information he could until finally obtaining them. But the Mind stone theory does sound pretty cool as well.

Yeah that’s what I’m saying, he knows who he’s up against. Kinda like he had no problem fighting iron man, Thor and captain America because he pretty much studied these guys and their capabilities. Until Cap wields Mjolnir it actually gave them an edge because of Thanos being unaware of Cap being able to wield it. What I’m trying to get at is that if he’s willing to study his enemies hard why not the stones he desperately wants and how to utilize them to their full potential.

It’s possible but remember in Endgame when Gamora told Nebula “father has found an infinity stone” and Nebula responds with “father’s plan is finally in motion” hinting that Thanos had never had and infinity stone and had no idea Loki’s scepter housed one. This dialogue took place on 2014 and Loki’s invasion took place on 2012.

I recall that one of the Russow brothers had mentioned in interview that the mad titan was learning to use the stones for the first time. It makes sense that he had already known how to use the mind stone and that may be a hint to why it is missing in the TVA. The time stone didn't obey without the gauntlet and Loki is the first one to hold it on screen. Maybe there have been multiple space stones all along for the trailer-verse, one for the main verse and now one for the what if universe. We saw multiple time stones in the TVA that got pruned too. Maybe there is only one mind stone that was what stabbed agent coulson. There was a reason his death was made to look more convincing in Disney plus by adding edge of the scepter. Maybe Loki, like Deadpool is a 4th wall breaking character who only shows the audience instead, and still can't return to his timeline. I still think he has a bunch of stones but realizes he needs to be stronger without them. I think the only stone he might be able to use is the power stone and is going to look for someone to help build the tesseract again.

It was his past self that lost and with all his knowledge he still wasn't able to predict Dr. Strange using the time stone to view multiple futures to find a way to victory..

What about the split time-line? The sorcerer Supreme was worried about splitting the time line by taking something, in her case an infinity stone, from the past into the future. Banner solved her worries by saying they would return them back to the exact moment they were taken once they were done. But Thanos came from the past and died in the future so the time-line was altered. Infinity war never happened in endgame thanos's time-line. Also loki altered the time-line again by escaping instead of being arrested.

I have a theory that I'm pretty sure many people have overlooked. We all know that Hulk tried to bring Black Widow but did he also try to bring back Loki and Heimdall. He was there when they both died and knew how important they were to Thor. He also knows how useful they would be to fight Thanos but of course he wouldn't have known that they would have to fight him again. Even though we see New Asgard and Hulk never mentions Loki is it a possibility he could have brought them back without even knowing it. And if he did would they have died again in space or what???

Thanos might be named the mad titan but he is anything but insane. He is wildly said a genius and no one has a mind like he does. He is strong willed enough to fight strongest psychics...But Thanos didn't make the stones to "obey" him. The problem is that so many people has no idea about the comic side stories which would explain A LOT / EVERYTHING.

I think it is more an effect granted to him by the infinity gauntlet. The gauntlet is a device capable of harnessing the power of the stones, according to Eitri the dwarf smith that made it. All Thanos would have to do is decide what he wanted and the gauntlet channeled the stones to make it happen. This is much like how mjolnir allowed Thor to project lightning and other effects when he didn't really know how to use his powers. Mjolnir channeled Thor's power to produce the effect he wanted but Thor didn't actually know how to summon lightning without using mjolnir until Ragnarok. Maybe this is a peculiar effect of the metal Uru or it is an ability bestowed by the smithing skills of the dwarves as so far it's only been dwarf-forged weapons/devices that seem to function this way. Mjolnir, Stormbreaker, the infinity gauntlet, and gugnir being the ones that come to mind.

My only issue with the whole mind stone theory is that in end game the scene nebula and gamora, nebula says “his plan is in motion and gamora says 1 of 6 doesn’t mean anything” so if the power stone was one of six how did he have the mind stone all that time

In the comics (some tellings) the Celestials created them. So a theory could be, the MCU origins mimic this and they respond better to someone with a similar DNA to the Celestials, since, in the comics they are/were notorious for using them, so it stands to reason that they are immune to the after effects. Thanos is half Eternal, a race created by the Celestials (comics anyway) so if they are created by the Celestials then it is possible the Eternals share the same DNA with their creator (to some degree). So MCU Thanos, via his DNA, was able to understand the abilities of all the stones and use them the way he did without any consequences, apart from the gauntlet melting and fusing to his arm from using them all at once to snap. This theory links the Eternals to the Celestials, the creators of the infinity stones eons ago.

Thanos DID use the stones before. Odin is the one that defeated him and kept him at bay. Once odin was weakening we got Thanos. I mean odin had a gauntlet.

It was a fake gauntlet but it was an indication that Odin knew about the stones. Probably got some of it. He was the one who put the space stone or tesseract on Tonsberg (Earth). He knew where his father hid the reality stone. Need more stories about the stones in Eternals. I think it would be better if Odin's father had a connection with Eternals. Also, how the time stone got on earth. Need flashback about Agamotto as Sorcerer Supreme in next Doctor Strange film like C'hton as one of the powerful sorcerer was ambitiously want the title not for Agamotto. However, he had no match to defeat Agamotto because of the time stone. C'hton drew dark power from Shuma Gorath but the stone was still powerful to took them down. He used his blood creating Darkhold where the Scarlet Witch would be his weapon (vessel) to defeat the Sorcerer Supreme. Wanda who transformed to Scarlet Witch and touched the Darkhold was signalling the freedom of C'hton wherever he was imprisoned by Agamotto. Meanwhile, Doctor Strange who was after Mordo to stop his former ally's crazy thing, accidentally unleashed something evil (probably Shuma Gorath). It would be awesome to see Shuma Gorath and C'hton in the Multiverse of Madness as villains. Strange vs Scarlet Witch (fight scene is a must). However, Wanda as a good person would be freed from C'hton power, teaming up with Strange who had no time stone to defeat the villains.

@@JerSwift odin is the all father and watcher of the 9 realms. Hymdall DEFINITELY knew of the eternals. He saw ALL. He is enchanted by a stone and magic. Odin knows of the greek gods and of most threats. And Hela could have said it was "fake" because the STONES in it were. Obviously Etri had a mold for the gauntlet and knew that it was powerful enough to hold to the stones. MAYBE when Odin was on his warpath he thought of collecting the stones but then decided otherwise along the way! Hmm make sense?

Like Hulk, in the comics anytime gamma radiation hits him he gets stronger yet they said the stones had strong gamma signature and it crushed him. Smh Also how does someone who gets powers from a stone then become stronger than the stone. Again great storyline and planning but a lot of angles missed

Why would the mind stone tell him about the other infinity stones and how to use them but not where they are? If the stone does have a mind and knew that Thanos would kill billions, then why would it tell him how to use the other stones?

This is bit of a stretch with a couple contradictions. IF the stones protect each other then wouldn't they have not let the Mind stone be destroyed by Wanda. It was just luck that the time stone was there close by to reverse it! It's safe to say Thanos studied the stones for years before and while he quested for them!

Your theory of the mind stone withholding info from Thanos is skewed, I'd say that it's because the stones seem to be in constant motion. Whether they're in someone's possession or that there being used for different purposes i.e ( the tesseract [ space stone], the ether [reality stone], the staff [mind stone] etc) they could have been shielded from the mind stone by the object they were contained in. The only exception being the soul stone and that thing was literally in a different dimension and could only be accessed by sacrifice. So I'd say they were all pretty well concealed.

Just one question why mind stone doesn’t teach thanos about the TVA and Kangs variant he who remains? or HWR wiped all timelines where thanos came to know about TVA?

Because the infinity stones are, pardon the pun, the cornerstone of the universe. Kang and the TVA are survivors of the MULTIversal wars that happen over and over. UNI=\= MULTI

I think Thanos was the only creature in the universe who was capable of properly possessing the power of the infinity stones. Not even beings like Odin and Ego were capable of doing that.

Something tells me Thanos didn't learn how to wield the stones just by using the mind stone. He would definitely have knowledge but he wouldn't have a lot of experience with the stones. Similar to how just because I've learned the best ways and tactics to play chess in an hour, doesn't mean I've become the greatest chess player who will ever live because I lack experience.

because if they hadn't it would have ruined the sacred timeline, there, now they have an excuse for every contrivance and plot hole and no longer have to worry about decent storytelling assuming they had been up to this point

Thanos was one of biggest Kang Cure for sacred timeline! Thanos wanted to destroy half of them knowing universe. it is the same what TVA doing, deleting possibilities of releasing multivers!
