To give an actual answer over “why would they have these items” •Some could be counterfeit (perfumes, digital goods) •some could’ve been used to commit a crime (kindle/phones) •some could’ve been worn during a crime (the random clothing) which could’ve had evidence on the clothing (bodily fluids, plant matter, blood, gunshot residue for some examples) •some could be stolen goods, some could be •some could’ve been used for trafficking (using parts of the motorbike, using the hollow inside of a mannequin to conceal narcotics) Just some examples - have a lot of friends in Police Scotland that I’ve known for a couple of decades, they get all sorts of weird evidence from raids!

Wouldn't blood/bodily fluids be considered biohazard and therefore the item need to be destroyed once no longer needed as evidence? Thank you for clearing up why some of these items were here! 😂 I was so bloody confused about the perfume 😅

Could some items also be from people who owe debt and therefor were seized by the collections office? Idk how it works in the UK but in Switzerland, the police and collections office will work together to seize valuable items and auction them off to help pay off the debt, that a person owes.

In america you can purchase former police issued revovlers second hand after they where replaced with semi automatic pistols, and theyre usually in pretty good condition and barely used.
