@@jjabram7772 That was 4 months ago and I found it at Walmart for 2.99 a can on sale. Everythings gone up as you know. In a week gas went from 3.09 a gallon here in Texas to 3.29 a gallon. But yes.... Now impossible. Even Walmart brand Pringles went up from 1.29 a can up to 1.79. Smh

In most restaurants in Hawaii, they have SPAM on the menu! Hawaii also sells SPAM cookbooks! I grew up in Minnesota and we ate SPAM…. Usually put in macaroni and cheese. Try it sometime!

Specially process American food that sold big during ww2 and is almost like Vienna sausages although those are sausages are far better than spam but not many people like the flavor and there are very high in sodium which is nowhere near good for your body. I like the sausages just not spam but sodium content keep me from eating them.

My whole family loves Spam. We fit 2 slices on each piece of toast, add a slice of Velveeta cheese, a bit of stewed tomatoes from the can, top with a dollop of Miracle Whip and a sprinkle of black pepper, then broil it 'til the cheese melts and starts to blacken. DEE-licious!

My dad ate a cold spam sandwich, miracle whip and white bread. Some Fritos or a small block of cheddar cheese, maybe some vanilla sandwich cookies every day for lunch for 35 years. He was born in the depression and loved him some Spam. There were a couple of cans in the cabinet when he passed.

Fun fact: they actually have anti theft devices on individual spam cans in some stores in Hawaii especially on Oahu. Spam musubis are very popular in Hawaii’s 7-elevens and have made its way to some 7-elevens in Las Vegas. Korea also has a huge love for Spam and is the only country outside of the US that has a spam producing factory. Also Hawaii has been known to host Spam Festivals.

My dad was born and raised in Hawaii so OF COURSE his kids ate everything he grew up eating! My siblings and I grew up eating SPAM and rice with almost every dinner and now as adults we continue to eat SPAM and rice. My personal favorite is the original and teriyaki.

My husband's father is a retired Hormel Foods chemist. My hubby's hometown is Austin, Minnesota - which is in fact Spam Town USA. There's an entire museum there that we've been to! (I seem to recall Guam consuming more Spam than Hawaii, though.) The only way I've been able to eat spam is when it is in a musubi dish. Otherwise, yuuuuuck. :P But, SPAM did enable men in the military in WWII to meet their caloric and protein needs that they wouldn't have otherwise met.

Fun fact: I ALWAYS make my spam musubis with spam teriyaki. It's also the best with eggs and rice :) Fried Spam is key to a happy life

I lived in Austin Texas for 10 years and they used to hold an annual festival called Spamarama. The festival had a Spam cook off, Spam themed activities and live music. 👍🎶🌮
