Porto Alegre is a city of almost 2 million people in the south of Brazil. The city is filled with beautiful architecture, great sports, and entertainment. We pent 72 hours in my Wife's hometown and we did a lot of eating and drinking. From Traditional food, to whatever tickled our fancy. This is 72 Hours in Porto Alegre.
We were hungry as soon as we touched down after our long flight so we decided to grab something called Xis. It;s similar to a Panini. But a lot bigger.
Football is Massive in Brazil. The city of Porto Alegre has two teams. Gremio, and Internacional. We had tickets to see Gremio Play since my wife's father is a fan. I was lucky because Luis Suarez one of my favourite players, is also on the team.
The downtown is breathtaking. The architecture, history, and the view. A great city for a walk.
Brazil is all about Buffets. They are everywhere. But unlike most buffets in the US and Canada. They are quite healthy.
Our last night in Porto Alegre was spent down by the waterfront. Beautiful view for a drink.
