It’s not actually the clutch he’s destroying. That crunching sounds was Rhett trying to shift gears without pressing in the clutch all the way so essentially the teeth on the gears were spinning into each other. Which isn’t to great for the gears themselves but the clutch itself would be fine. The only way Rhett could have caused damage to the clutch is if he was riding the clutch too much. Meaning causing the clutch to rub against the flywheel for too long from improper shifting. making it heat up and give out that burning clutch smell. Just some knowledge In case anyone’s interested.
