Man, Im looking for that, I feel like me putting noxious grasp, aether gust, dispute, veil of summer etc in most of my decks is a thing CGB disagrees with and Id like to know when I should and shouldnt

There's not really individual queues, rather, the matchmaker tries to match you up vs other decks that have similar numbers of card rarities in their deck. This is why Kinnan is such a common match up vs Golos(as well as Prismatic Bridge I was surprised CGB didnt end up against it at all) because those decks tend to run as many huge, powerful spells as possible and those are almost always in the Rare/Mythic slots.

I played Golos to no end from 2020 to the start of 2022 and was one of my all time favorite legendary creatures. Golos deserves to be in Hell queue because it's an advantage engine to no end and homogenized 5 colors.

I’ve been playing magic since 94 and this is the first commander game over ever watched in person or online and I think I really like that format. Standard really feels these days like whoever goes first wins but commander(even historic) seems like there’s more chance to actually play magic and develop a strategy. Great video.

Golos is the commander that demonstrates the biggest gap between Timmy and Spike players. If you just build he to be battlcruser and hit with big stuff, he is still one of the most powerful commanders to play that way but he's mostly reasonable. But if you even optimize your deck to about 50% of its max power it becomes extremely oppressive even in power level 8 or 9 metas. I think that's why many people felt it was fine and didn't understand the ban, they were either playing with or against extremely casual Golos decks, if you live somewhere that the LGS has even a mid power meta Golos becomes a real problem.

Damn man, I know you are a good player but here you showed us some really impressive skills on this video. Also, as a fellow HB brewer myself, I know how hard it is to build a deck all by yourself (ex: I am trying to find the perfect 100 for Saheeli atm, so so hard). Building a good standard deck feels like an absolute joke in comparison. So I think it is very nice from you at the end of the video to give a shoutout to other streamers for inspiration.

Definitely agree with the take on Rusko from the start of the video. I started playing CB just a couple of days ago, Rusko being my commander, and have achieved a 90-95% win rate. I've frequently been matched up against relatively bad commanders, which has made the games paradoxically less fun. All in all, I definitely think Rusko should be upgraded to a higher queue level.

One of my favorite things play with Golos is a World Tree/Gods deck. I find that there are many players who are so focused on getting rid of Golos that they don't realize that I've gotten enough lands to activate the World Tree until it's too late.

Maybe this is actually a fair bit compétitive if youre not greedy with the amont of gods, like the most powerful ones only, and it would give away the plan to run like... them all

Fastest way to farm your daily wins: Play Rusko and wait for opp to quit in 5s. If they dont you quit and go for the next match. It doesnt even take 10min for 15 wins So yeah I think he should be banned if so many players hate to play against him

What I find most obnoxious about Rusko is how prolific he is. Even if he was a bad card I would roll my eyes with how much I'm matched against him. He makes for really homogenous games that betray the spirit off the format which is all about variety.

Rusko not being hell tier makes it less fun to play. I feel bad when I’m up again some 3 mana boros commander I’ve seen one or 2 times before and I have all blue in hand.

I play Golos God's feat. The World Tree. He always resolves but dies instantly, which is what I want to keep fetching lands. Pulled it off a few times, really fun when you pull it off.

Fools was banned for a number of reasons that got around the very structure of the game. Like commander tax of only 1 instead of 2. It was better than any other 5c.

I have a Golos deck where the entire strategy is to cast Golos, search up The World Tree, ramp like crazy, and then activate World Tree to bring out a whole bunch of gods. With Purphoros, they all have haste, and you can swing for the game.

I actually go up against golos alot and its not that dangerous in brawl. You can typically outpace it or keep it off the board. In 4 player co op its much stronger because when it comes out its typically left alone lol

i play a similar version with worldtree god (11 ones) otk style as main wincon and mazes end as 2nd option works fine... but as u mantioned vs cheap blue counters hard times.... but possible if u mangage to sneak him out once...

I think IVY might deserve to be in the Hell Queue, but yeah, Golos isn't S tier. A similar commander is the 4 mana Jund creature that returns a land from graveyard to bf. A strong Jund midrange deck maybe worthy of Hell queue.

It's honestly sad how bad golos is now. He used to be my favorite commander, but it's just way to hard to get, and keep him on the board for such a risky pay off. Too many things need to go your way in order to use him. 1. You need ramp early to fix your mana and cast him in time. 2. You need to draw counter spells early to stop your opponent from outpacing you and protect golos. 3. When using golos's ability, you need to hit at least one valuable card while avoiding all the ramp and counter spells that you've desperately needed up until this point or else you'll have spent 7 mana to do nothing.
