@@sahil47 Tom is just as much of a professional stunt man as any stunt man for a stunt like this, he just also is the actor that does all the lines too... Hitting a jump with a motor cycle and sky diving are both very learnable things by average people, they just take balls, and Tom has 3 decades of experience doing both. He is a professional. There's no hidden knowledge that the stunt men have that Tom does not have for this. And it takes multiple takes no matter who you have do it, that has more to do with the filming end of it and whether they get the exact visual they want, e.g. let's try the cameras over here, let's try another with the drone panning over, etc, out of his control
@jamesthecatАй бұрын
@@AccuratetranslationservicesI see what you mean, but for each stunt, Tom has to be taught from scratch what any stuntman would already know. And they may well know things that can't be taught, like how to get out of a situation if things go wrong, having that instinctive muscle memory, and years of being able to fall safely. It's his film, and his choice of course, but it’s unnecessary time, expense and risk, especially if the viewing public don't even notice now (let alone respect) if it's 'real' or not.

Seeing details; knowing what they mean, knowing how to use them, and knowing them well enough to explain them off the cuff to anyone. He was clearly interested and committed to making a movie, and he has another level that gets into the craft, not just in passing to get a shot, but to be an integral part of something that might otherwise be done by a guy who’s craft isn’t acting, but stunts. He appears to be a craftsman as an actor, and a stuntman. Likely a few other things that many people can do passably, but he does as craft. That’s why we got Les Grossman.

@1986BBG10 ай бұрын
@@MusicalSavior23 You miss my point, Keaton did it first as you pointed out and there was no stunt coordinator back then, he designed all the tricks he pulled off. Jackie Chan had people go over every bit of his stunts before he did them, this takes nothing away from Jackie Chan. But it is like a linebacker from the late 1800s to 1940s getting hit hard with those outdated pads they wore, they weren’t even helmets. Look at those linebackers versus the ones today all padded up. There is a difference, its safer than the originals and a bit less painful.
