yeah it's funny. although I see a lot of big celebrities do this in places where they can basically guarantee that they're known, but introducing themselves with their name sets a precedent for what they want to be called, and invites the other person to share their own name in a way where it doesn't feel like "oh I'm much more famous that you, you already know me, but what's your name peasant?"

It feels so insane how much stress and depression was going on behind the scenes in the early days of Game Theory, the energy he brought to his videos felt so upbeat and positive, it did not feel like it was coming from someone going through so much.

There are so few times I can say this happened, but watching MatPat's reaction, I cried and laughed at the same time. Matt is one of those rare existences who add value to the world just by living in it. He's a shining star and an unblemished saint who always stays true to himself. The fact that he immediately wanted to make a Film Theory video about the movie after watching it is proof of that. Just hearing his manic and purely joyful voice is enough to make me smile, and it will always make me smile for the rest of my life. May he forever be as happy as he's made all of us.

Matpat is right there are many Marks out there I was one of them. Lost my marriage, my mom passed, lost everything I owned and went homeless all in a span of a year but what thing I always smiled when I heard it was "HELLO INTERNET WELCOME TO GAME THEORY!" 4 years later I've practically rebuilt my life from the ground up. This. I am honestly so surprised their goal is to make a mr. Beast movie. I feel like matpat’s life is kinda more interesting considering how many things he’s had a hand in mainly on KZfaq yet also out in the world. Matpat announced his retirement to KZfaq the day we were bringing our son home from the hospital, I was so sad to be entering a new and potentially scary chapter in my life without the comfort of his videos to keep me going like that always have. He said in the video he originally wanted to upload it on the day our son was born. Our sons name. Richter, from the game castlevania. So to hear now that matpats first memory is playing castlevania makes everything feel so perfect. Like the world isn’t so big after all.
