I met David Tracy, who recently acquired this Jeep FC-170, while traveling through Montana. He really wanted to take it on the Wild Bill and I was lucky enough to take him up there. It is really impressive what this old truck can do!

Okay yes it is 4 wheel drive, but that was for snow. It was made to be an on road delivery truck for winter and snow. I would put a nice engine in it, and a hitch in the bed to pull may trailer to national park. The vacation, tow may trailer thing.

sounds terrible! what is making that scraping noise! still loved seeing the old beast. I have a 59 FC170 DRW, but mine has a SBC in it

Haha, I'm not sure what the scraping noise is. I'm sure the chassis needs lots of maintenance.

At first it sounded like the driveshaft was rubbing on some thing and then when it wind that one ditch it almost sounds like the fan was rubbing on something else. But nonetheless this makes me want an FC more than ever
