We got the opportunity to upgrade this track ready, ZL1 1LE and shoved another 350+ HP under the hood!! We put a larger supercharger, new clutch, bigger cam, aftermarket exhaust and many other upgrades on it with road racing in mind. This car is a blast on the street with the track tuning and that 6 speed manual transmission! Customer already took it to a local road course and gained an easy 10 mph on the straightaway!

I drove a ws.6 trans am for 17yrs. The car was built to the max and I can say that I do not miss breaking in and replacing clutches. I now have a zl1 A10 and I have not looked back regarding that decision. Nice video..

Coming outta second hope he's using Hoosier R7, I make around 680whp.. on a Nitto NT01 its sticky but it still breaks loose, I usually roll into it, and the IATs were my big issue road racing... that head unit will make a huge diffeeence... 1LEs are monsters on track I think 780whp. is the sweet spot but more power is just gonna make it a missile in the straights,.. great build makes me wanna get rid of my Mustang.. plus it's sounds way better then my Coyote!!!

Michael N. He is using Toyo R888’s. That’s what we recommend using for all of our higher horsepower cars. They grip well, while still being able to drive in the elements without struggling.

I thought ARP head studs or something alike would have replaced standard head bolts for a 1000hp build ? I guess it says something about those bolts. I know That The builds hold up too cause like said below Streetspeed 717 Works his hard and its Been rock solid.

I concur with a previous comment made by Sarah Kerr...I follow @streetspeed (Mikes monster ZR1) which he beats on all day long and destroys pretty much everything he races. It speaks to the quality install/workmanship and tuning capability you guys have at LMR. I hope to do business one day with my 17 ZL1 but I am all the way up here in Toronto Canada...looks like I will have to bite the bullet for shipping the car.

The package gives 1000hp crank but not to the wheels. Don't you think the wheels should put down 1000hp if you're going to advertise it as a 1000hp package but it puts down 850hp wheel?

Most people presume it’s at the crank. They do offer 1,000 to the wheel.

You’re talking about the package that was put together for this car...part of the package is a CNC ported head....put in the video putting the engine back together they are clearly used heads going back on the engine...why?

Because you don’t have to buy brand new heads to CNC port them. CNC is simply a mill with Computer Numerical Control. Meaning there is nothing wrong with using the stock heads that have been CNC ported.

Traco Engineering, that did race engines for the Trans Am and Can Am, found that with a seasoned block and freshened heads, the cars picked up 20-30 hp over a brand new engine.

People have made over 1300 hp on factory bolts on a LT4. The bolts are a little bit bigger then that of a LS giving it more clamping force.

We always do our packages at the crank. It's the only constant variable. You could have massive differences with power to the wheel. No car is the same. for ex. if this car was an auto, it probably would've made 30 less hp. If this same setup was in a pickup, it most likely would have made 80-100 hp less. There are a lot of reasons we do our packages the way we do, other than just to "make it seem like its making more".

Late Model Racecraft by far was I trying to be smart ass besides Fran at rpm you guys have the cleanest installs ever hell I can’t tell you how to do your stuff I was just asking but I will say on the street if I was to say I have 700 or 900 or 1000hp to the crank people would laugh 😂 everyone that’s reputable it’s to the tire pavement ground not crank and yes I def do understand about a auto or standard trans diff but if the auto makes 945 and the standard makes 1015hp it’s to me still a 1000 hey I’m sorry I just been watching Fran he’s kind of made things hard for shops I will say that I use to love Hennessey now there kind of not up to par anymore with all The other company’s like cordes or rpm things have stepped it up

You mean like Chevy advertises it as a 550 whp car...nope. Crank hp is usually the general rule of thumb, unless you're chasing a number or checking fuel limits.
