Like I can see the trash can and paper towel dispenser being useful, especially for someone with disabilities(spoons mean being able to just lift the lid and it's ready to take out would be a godsend), but the cost is insane. I also haven't finished the video yet to see how well anything works. The printer could also be useful I suppose but again way too much money. If you’re wondering why something super automated could be useful the answer is often disabled people! Trash can that ties off the bag and has tiny bags that won’t get super heavy? So useful for many disabilities. Sadly also often extremely unaffordable though.

@@anisvadjian5142 my grandma was disabled very young. And I was a teacher's aid for "special ed" when in 8th grade. So I've been aware long before I was disabled. But, yes, many don't think about it. It's easy to ignore or blame disability on something the other person did. At least that I often see. I'm neurodivergent too, but late finding out. 14:42 Wait. Y'all actually have scorpions where you live? I've never realised they could just...enter houses just like spiders. That puts our massive woodland spiders into a whole new perspective. At least our spiders just scare us, and don't have the chance to potentially sting us! Horrifying. (Context: we live very close to a little tiny forest and a lake, so we often get massive spiders sneaking into our home. Especially into our sitting room on the ground-level facing the farming fields. They're absolutely massive beasts, those that get inside.)

while these use cases are great, i still gotta question the astronomical prices tho. these aren't state-of-the-art prosthetics which a disabled person will use for life and grant them a level of mobility or dexterity that would be life-changing... these are still mostly minor conveniences that have more value for disabled folks. the question becomes... is the value of that shift from minor to major convenience worth a 1,000% markup? and when does it become exploitation of disabled folks? 14:58 That product was a lint/fluff/pilling remover originally so it’s actually doing what it was designed for. They’re at least 30 years old. Wouldn’t surprise me if it was a part of an old, old, old textile manufacturing machine and some worker had an idea and made one for home use. Btw. They cost almost nothing if you buy them as a lint/fabric comb in the sewing section of the supermarket or craft stores.

We have the medium version of the hair scraper, it's an absolute lifesaver! You have to be careful what materials you use it on, but we use it religiously because we have 3 pets who shed A LOT. It works well on our couch, rugs, pet beds, and some clothing. We also have one of those reusable lint removers for things we can't use the scraper on. I honestly would really love the long scraper for carpets because normally we get down on our hands and knees. I will say that you can buy these way cheaper though 😅

Tip for catching scorpions: They cannot see clear glass, so put a large/tall drinking glass over them. Then slide some cardstock/paperboard underneath. If you tap them from behind with the wall of the glass, they will run forward onto the paperboard. Then you can move them glass and all. I typically flip the glass right side up and give the paperboard a tap. They will then fall to the bottom of the glass and won't be able to climb up the glass wall. This makes for safest transportation. I get Arizona Bark scorpions in my home every summer, so this method helps me a lot. P.S. Mosquitoes also cannot see clear glass, so this method works well for catching them as well when they are lurking on your bathroom wall. With your hand at a distance because you are holding the end of the glass, they will not fly away. You can also use something flimsier like a paper towel instead of paperboard for them.

11:25 Okay but genuinely? I would love to have that ladder at work. We have two (three, but one is stationary and cuts you if you look at it wrong), but they're always a hassle to deal with and can be cumbersome to move from isle to isle, especially if something is in the way. This ladder, though? Easy to move, and big enough for tiny me to reach the top of the shelves :) However, it is very wiggly, so I'd have to make sure I did not lose focus whilst stepping on it. And the funny thing? If this was gimmicky enough, and not so expensive, I bet I could just show this to my boss and he'd want it in a heartbeat.
