Most people are talking about how they deserve more credit and recognition and their dead mother. For me it’s the other way around, my best friend committed suicide on June 15 2018. She wasn’t just my best friend though I loved her so much, she just didn’t know because she’s straight and would never like me the way I love her. I am also depressed and suicidal but I know that she would want me to live. She always told me to stay strong, that every day is a day worth living to the fullest and to never give up. This is by far my favorite We The Kings song ever! I lost my grandma 5 years ago to cancer and it’s been so hard. I know that she’s here with me though, I’ve been home with my kids for the last 3 years and about 2 months ago I got a call asking if I would be interested in my dream job. While I was on the phone accepting the position there was a hummingbird outside my backdoor! (I’ve been in my house 5 years and I’ve never once seen a hummingbird) I know she’s out there watching over me somewhere and it makes the days a lot easier knowing that.

This song applies to a million different things. For me at least. Family I've lost, to age, to sickness, to suicide. Chances I've lost, for love, to say goodbye, to say a new hello. And to a thousand other things.
