@@MaxBarnick And possibly the most important thing, not nearly enough weight in the nose. You can make a regular paper airplane fly really well if you put two or three paper clips on the nose. Helps keep that part into the air. Otherwise, they nose up and flop over.

@@witchking64 it's also how aquariums reduce the biological waste load in their systems. The foams pull out a lot of proteins that would naturally decay in the system. This pulls them out before that happens. The process, in the aquarium trade, is called 'skimming'

When throwing paper planes lads it's all in the wrist, kind of like throwing a dart. Don't throw it too hard cuz it'll just nose dive. You gotta finesse it rather than force it.

Depends on the design, the planes we used to make were half A4 (A5?) to start with and you throw them as hard as you can to get the best performance, most spiral and turn out duds but every now and then you make an absolute beautiful flyer, i once got my best plane caught in an up draft, it went so high that we could no longer see it, I became a legend on the playground that day.

It's seafoam Gonson! It's formed when dissolved organic substances (plants and animals) from the water are broken down and left on the shore mainly from broken down algae.

Pointers for you paperplanes/gliders They need adjustment to the rear ailerons/fins. The most rear part needs an upward fold added to it. Also for the paper planes add a paper clip or two to the nose. For the glider tape or insert a small nail to the nose as well.

Here are two things I know from paper airplane flying. 1. Getting the right design is key. 2. Outdoors is really hard because wind affects them too much. If the day is perfectly calm a standard airplane works, but if there is any wind you need more mass. 3. You can't throw them too hard. They like gentle launches. My favorite paper airplane is called the Harrier. It seems to work every time.

So what you guys saw on the beach is called sea foam. I believe it’s just made when sea water gets agitated
