I took a career assessment test in school once. It recommended a career in science. I was very unimpressed, because one of the questions was "would you like a career in science?", to which I had answered "yes".

I don’t believe my personality test results, they said Im a sceptic.

I think people misjudge the gift-giving love language. When I buy a gift for someone I am very intentional. I think about what my friend or family member likes, or what is happening in their life currently. I go out of my way to find the perfect gift. I want to be appreciated in the same way- the monetary value of the gift is unimportant, it’s about the thought you put into the gift. 🤷🏽‍♀️

What I've learnt from this video: I'm basically Chyna.

The problem is self-assessment. People have a hard time figuring themselves enough to answer objectively. I think we need these tests to start having other types of question which deal more with objective information than opinion. Although I think your assessments might be correct. I'm an ENTP and my bf is an ENTJ, not the same goat but very similar horns. BTW I also found it funny that another extroverted intuitive like me also thought about the objectivity of self-reflection instantly LMAO definitely a Ne user.

Currently I'm following a course where the first module fucusses on yourself. The MBTI test was part of this. Most tests are personality tests focussed on how you behave. The MBTI, however, is a character test, it focusses on what you are like behind those behaviours, what you were born with, what you would be like without years of conditioning you behaviour. If you are familiar with nature versus nurture, a personalyty test focusses on nurture whereas a character test, like MBTI, focusses on nature. That makes the MBTI impossible to get right on the first go. To get as close as possible, you would need to answer keeping in mind what your natural response is. If you're not sure, you should think about how you would have reacted when you were young, as back then your behaviour was most likely less influenced by behaviour your surroundinga taught you. To do the test really correctly, to get to your core, you would then need to spend a few hours with a trained person answering more questions, thinking about the answers, to get to your core. When we did the MBTI we spent a day figuring out what we really were. Everybody in the class switched profile after nearly every set of qestions and the end result was never what they got from just taking the test like you guys did. I have done a lot of personality tests, online and quickly like you guys, but this course was the first time I really dug into it. For me the MBTI was really an eye-opener once I got to my true character profile. It was alike a lot of stuff fell into place. I understood some things I had been struggling with, where it turned out my taught behaviour was opposite of what my character told me I should do. It really helped me learn a lot about myself and I understand better who I am and where certain behavioir comes from. I won't bore you with the details. What I wanted to point out is first the difference between personality (bahviour, nueture) and character (nature) and second that fun as it can be to do these things quickly, for a character test to get to your true character, away from all behaviour you were taught over time, you need to really dig into it, spend a day analyzing yourself, preferrably aided by a professional.

I learned of the MBTI (Meyers Briggs) about ten years ago, and it has changed my way of seeing myself. I always doubted my place in the world and my capacity and permission to participate. After friends got me on to the MBTI, I learned that I wasn't weird, incompetent, worthy of rejection, but that six percent of the male and 4.5% of the female populations are like me and I simply had a definable personality type - no better or worse. I felt validated and just as competent worthy as everyone else. This discovery explained so much and injected me with a powerful boost of self-belief and confidence that remains with me. I wish i had known this fifty years ago.

I knew there was a reason I liked Chyna so much, I’m an ESTJ too! And my husband is an INFP. Yes to vacuum the floor than buy me a necklace part. My husband recently started dropping of our recycling and picking up our grocery order for me, and I just bask in the glow of one less thing I have to do for our family life to function smoothly. I would like to suggest for next time, the tendency quiz from the Gretchen Rubin podcast/website. This author has discovered 4 personality types and how they respond to inner and outer expectations and how those personalities can improve their communication towards each other when requesting help/favors. Also, maybe for a future video-a happiness project (also a Gretchen Rubin invention), or test out the suggestions in the book Feel Better in 5 and see which “happiness hack” elicits the most bang for your buck.

Totally agree with Craig that we only have our own understanding of ourselves, etc. The thing I think gets lost in translation (mostly online) with Enneagram is the difference between finding your type to hammer in "how you are" and using your type to work on yourself, your tendencies, and your blindspots. It's a self growth tool, but that often gets lost.

Fun thing I did with my sister is we filled out the personality tests pretending to be each other. It was really interesting to see what type of personality we got for each other as it gave us an insight into how we thought of each other.

i'm so excited for your enneagram results, i've always suspected him as a 7 and her as a 1. By the way, 7's and 1's do share some traits since 1's integrate toward 7 (becoming spontaneous and joyful) while 7's disintegrate toward 1 (becoming critical of themselves and others).

As another ENFP, I would like to add that while we are all different, we tend to be creatively perceptive and lead with our heart. Of all the extroverts we tend to be the most introverted requiring alone time to sort and file all our thoughts and ideas in our minds. We can come across as ditzy or clueless sometimes because we tend to put fun and imagination and "what if" ideas ahead of other things. Robin Williams was my favorite ENFP of all time and I'm glad to know you're one, too!

I just discovered your channel today while searching "Caffeine Addiction", 😂 and I was totally trying to 'type' both of you as I was watching your videos. I do that with pretty much everyone I guess. I can't seem to turn it off. 🤦‍♀ But also, because: (1). You're awesome, and ( 2). you're awesome together as a couple, so that really intrigued me. So, I freaked out when I saw that you made a video of type tests!! I'm an INFJ.

I'm an ESTJ and an Enneagram 1 like Chyna. :) And my husband has similar results to Craig and we've been married for 29 years, so I think that bodes well for the two of you. :) We took Myers-Briggs way back at the beginning of our marriage, but took the Enneagram just in the last couple years. Never took the Golden Girls test. Oh, and our love languages are opposite, but we've known that for years too and try to speak the other's love language intentionally. Great video!

I used to work at a resort property in Big Sur, California and the Owners of the property had all of us crew take the Color Code Test and we were all blown away by how right on it was. And it gives you info on how to get along with other 'colors' and how to maximize your strengths and downplay your weaknesses. It was really interesting. It helped me to understand a few things about myself and how I am motivated. I won't spoil anything for anyone who wants to try it out by explaining what any of the colors mean (red, blue, yellow, white) just check it out for yourself!
