WE TOOK A RORO between Luzon and Mindoro, Port of Batangas to Puerto Galera

Anne and I were invited to join another two couples for a short Vacation to Puerto Galera located on Mindoro, an island South of Luzon. This is only the 3rd trip out of Angeles City since I moved to the Philippines last September, it is a much needed break from the faster pace lifestyle of Pampanga.
In this vlog Anne and I arrive at the Port of Batangas and will show where we waited to drive our car on to our Ro-Ro, a roll-on roll-off vehicle and passenger ferry that travels between the Port of Batangas and Puerto Galera. We decided to take our vehicles onto Mindoro to save ourselves from having to carry our luggage on off up down the entire trip, we also want to have our own transportation once we are on the island.

Your Minnesota slipped out there. "Out on the lake". I was stationed up in the UP and to me, Lake Superior was "the ocean". If you cant see land on the far side, It's an ocean.

UP is so nice 😁 anywhere around the Great Lakes is God’s Country 👍 Duluth for college was the best and yes they seem like oceans 😮

Hahahaah 30 years of owning an off shore boat, i think your video was the closest i have ever gotten to sea sick, hahhaha. Poor Ann has all the symptoms of sea sick. Keeping her in the AC helped thank god it was a short trip. Have fun

You should have video taken going on the ramp and add suspensive music and gone slo mo. For full drama effects. ❤going to switch to adventures with Anne if you don’t step up your cinematic skills 😂 lol.

yes we did travel thru the end of the last typhoon and we got back already before the new storms 😁👍 these videos coming up are post dated because the wifi was too slow for me to upload 😳

mindoro is still part of luzon. luzon is a group of islands in the northern part of PH, palawan is also part of luzon. anyways whenever we cross seas, ride ferries make sure to have underwash when you go to the carwash to avoid rust underneath your car, sea water is so harsh for the bare metal parts underneath your vehicle, to remove those salt water residues, and also better check if your car already have undercoating, some cars don't have them so they are prone to rust when crossing floods or riding ferries with rough seas. you can easily check if the metal parts underneath your car is still bare. they usually use black paint for undercoating and it'll probably cost aroud $100 or less for a small vehicle

For the last 40 years I have fished for sport and EVERY time I return from a trip I have a sleepy, almost lethargic, feeling and just want to lie down and go to sleep. It is, of course, the rocking of the boat that causes it, similar to the principle of rocking a baby to sleep. Appreciate the video as it explained how you guys traveled to Batangas. For some odd reason I was under the impression that maybe you reserved a van to travel to Batangas, and ferried over from there, not remembering you had your own vehicles.

we had considered no vehicle rent vehicle etc but then decided to bring our vehicles 😁 it was nice to have our own car and time frame 👍

@@chubsDubC I think my mind was registering it as you guys being on vacation and, therefore, likely renting transportation to get to Batangas. I forgot that you guys actually live there and have your own cars.

😁 yes that was the plan.. buy car for travel more but realizing it may be expensive to Ferry between islands 😳 it was around $130 to jump between Mindoro and Luzon and that was a short ride 🤔 we’ll see
