We have a verbal acceptance on a BGC condo but we've made it even farther than this before and still came up empty-handed. So today we're heading out with our broker to tour a couple alternate apartments in Metro Manila.

Just a simple tip. Ask about the electricity bill. Electricity is high here, especially in condos. Depending on the building, depending on the appliances, you could be paying upwards of $500 a month on just the electric bill but some buildings would only charge you half of that. Also, ask about the internet, most buildings will have an exclusive contract with a provider, meaning you would not be able to install any other internet provider service aside from the one preferred.

Pls. stay away from those condos. THOSE ARE JUST SCAMS. PLS. Do your calculations & hear lots of reviews & advices. Best thing for me is to do AB&B. You come & go whenever without the hassle of maintenance & surprising fees. Best wishes to you~

Why not check 'Fraser Place Manila' located in the city of Makati. It's a SERVICED APARTMENT. Their 3 bedroom suite is super big and super classy and they got a lot of toilet in there. They got elegant bath tubs. Celebrities live there. I think its around 100k plus pesos per month. It's within the Makati CBD. It's fully furnished.

Hey guys, why dont you stay first on an air bnb then look for an apartment, while you stay there. Don’t be in a hurry coz you will only find the expensive one and not the good one, take ur time looking for an apartment. It’s not worth it, for a very expensive one if you gonna stay in the Philippines for a long time. God bless

Don’t rush the process and take your time when you can. You all know what you want and know what you need. Being impulsive sure has its drawbacks and am you guys are aware of that. I hope you find your Philippines home soon! And wow, you've been in Shangri-La for around 10 days now. I agree, Shang is great, but not a long term solution. Have you considered signing up for a membership? It's free, and you'll get some perks when you've accumulated certain number of points. And at least you'll get a bit of something by staying there for that long

Yep. The second condo is pretty nice, but so pricey and it's more than my mortgage payments lol. I think it's more practical $3K max for months, especially y'all be out most of the time strolling and doing adventures. Good luck Y'all!

Thanks for sharing! This has been enlightening in terms of possibilities and price ranges. Husband and I are currently on the same journey trying to find a place in the area. We’ve looked at over 7 condos and 7 houses and nothing feels right just yet. Starting to feel like we need to settle/adjust either perspective or price range . We’re from Texas and struggling with the major differences in layouts and prices lol. Our western preferences have the high price tag there 😂. Wish us luck and maybe we’ll see you guys around bgc!

Hi! Happy to see you last Jan 5 at Shangri La, a day before we had to fly back home to NZ! Funny when we took a selfie at the lobby, my 5 year old little boy was not on the photo because he was too short to be in it! WHAT a SHAME! He was upset about it all day! After realising my son was not on the photo, a part of me wanted to go back and search for you. But... what I also realised that would be creepy! hahaha! No one was not winning that day. TRUST ME! We had a million and one regrets following that unexpected encounter! I wish we had time to talk to you and take a lot of photos. We just hope to see you again when come back to the Philippines! 200k/mo is sooo much, but its bgc, 180sqm and one mckinley is high end, hence reasonable The Suites is really expensive, thats about the range of rent there. They have better rooms that are floor to ceiling with high ceilings, and it costs around 300k too.

The suites building is so nice though. But the rent for the actual apartment seems pretty steep.

I hope you guys can check the area of Alabang. It’s like BGC but less congested . There’s also a posh mall, Alabang Town Center and Molito. Condos are scary during earthquakes 😅. Anyways, good luck looking for your new home. Welcome to the Philippines 🇵🇭

if colt loves reptiles, you guys should collab with mike bustos - he's a filipino who LOVES animals, he has tons of them, even has a colony of ants. i believe he also has some lizards/geckos, too! i bet colt would love to see his collection :)

Hi guys! Better check "Making it Happen" vlog. I think he has a unit listed in Airbnb. Though it might be far from the Ocampo's and maybe a little smaller than what you were checking but the area there offers more units that you can consider. It is in McKinley area I think.

Just letting you know too Always be changing that Colorado Springs has 400 thousand worth houses(in a new development) still that you can have it easily rented. Your house in Denver looks like a million dollar house so I am sure you have plenty of assets there and no capital tax to be imposed because you lived in it Rental for those will be about 2000 dollars a month, just letting you know.

Holy crap $6800/mo for rent, that’s more than a mortgage back here in the States, and I live in California 😂 Glad you guys finally found a place there…that’s definitely one of my goals for my fam too, and it’s nice to see and be able to compare leasing vs buying property there.
