The funny thing is that if you go to the Police they won't even register an FIR for phone and straight ahead would say "Apko pata hona chaiye ke halaat thk nhi ha".

If your phone or anythig else got snatched immediately report on 15. Then police is responsible for filing an FIR otherwise theu will be held responsible. Recently happened with me my phone got snatched i dialed 15 and filed my camplaint and got my FIR registered next day

one thing to note is that all brands usually have their own cloud services for example xiaomi cloud, samsung cloud etc. So generally there are two find my phone options one from googles end and one from your phones brand end. What issue I encountered was that despite my data was on I was using my phone on low power mode where it stops background services to save some battery and due to that google find my phone was completely useless whereas xiaomi find my phone service still seemed functional. However, either way havent been able to recover mine since new years when I lost it and kept PTA, CPLC and Mobile service operator in loop regardless

The solution to this problem is to take with you a cheap phone when visiting public spaces - shops, mosques, parks, etc. Keep the expensive secondary phone in a hidden location that you should take out only when in a secure area. Also, never carry anything expensive when riding a bike or using public transport.

PTA only provide technical support in the form of DIRBS through which applicants can registered their phones use with in Pakistan. The Taxes/duties collected in this process are applied by FBR and directly deposited with in FBR.

Last year my i phone 6splus got stolen on 14th may in sialkot on khan sbs jalsa . I immediately blocked it on PTA and so maybe it too went to Afghanistan 😅
