Hi guys, u just passed the section 14 PJ right. There was a wet market there and at the food court area they were selling delicious lontong kuah,lontong kering (dry,) and satay as well. By the way you are also close to gerai(stall) jalan 222 . They are also selling delicious local foods ( check it out).

We did! That food court is awesome - we love the tandoori chicken and naan stall. The satay always smells good - we will try sometime! Is the lontong stall located upstairs?

@@FoodandFootprints also if you go further up to Sea Park area you can find one of the top nasi lemak stall behind Maybank or go to SS2 nearby to try some durian.

Oh man you guys are pumping out the content! The world is right again. We are rookies on the train. We were lucky we had Manny to show is the ropes in NYC. You both look great! Crazy things are less busy at the food court. Why is it that food always taste better on a stick? Can’t wait to take the family to international travel.

funny thing. last year when we landed in KL, a woman approached us and aked if HK was Korean. we ended up talking about our channel etc and turns out she was from Kajang and "invited" us to go try the satay there. I guess we have this kind of trip pending for our next time in Malaysia! thanks for sharing, guys!

while Kajang can still be considered the 'hometown' of Malaysian satay, locals nearby now pick Satay Hakimi in Bangi (just next to Kajang), it tops every satay vendors. Once a few years back it was Satay Willy... Satay Haji Samuri was the old 'king'.... (no offence)

The best satay is the cow intestine satay (satay perut)! Now, I don’t think still available but it was quite popular in the 80s & early 90s. As of Satay Kajang… I love the one at the Medan Satay Kajang (Food Centre). I’m a bit apprehensive bout Haji Samuri Satay… I don’t wanna talk bout it 🥴

Ohh we had satay perut at Willy Satay the first time we tried satay Kajang back in 2020 and really enjoyed it! Haha we heard mixed things about Haji Samuri too but we wanted to try it for ourselves and we enjoyed it

Super great gastronomical indulgence guys,me originally frm state of Perak but now residing in Sg.Long bt not proper part of it but rather bodering Kajang kindda two shakes of lamb's tail gettin there,like to frequent satay's restos dey're awful tasty guddy2 nam2 people...another big name is Rono satay oughta try guys

Oooh 2 hour trip for some good dish! I know we've traveled farther to eat too! Coffee to start the day is always a plus 👍 the compact rice cubes and the duck skewers look good guys! That's awesome it's empty, it's like you have the whole restaurant to yourselves 😀 Oooh chicken satay and the large coconut drinks! I'm glad you guys are eating your way through Malaysia, I need to get down there..

Fellow New Yorker,s here Greg!U guys should have gone to the other side which is Sate Haji Samurai as it has the best peanut sauce and sambal to the taste!it had to be had with the sugarcane juice to complete it with the Kajang Way!

In Kajang, there're pandan layer cake, durian layer cake, Philippines chocolate cake, etc, you guys could try as desserts at Regent Pandan Layer Cake. 😃

Since you guys are staying in PJ, do check out the cakes shops/cafes around there, namely La Manila Cafe, Taman Megah and Secret Recipes. Their cake, pies and other local & Western food are awesome! 😊

Wow u guys went to both restaurant, you must love sate so much 💕 I like sate kajang emas because many variety of meats, but unfortunately the services is not that good, the staff was not friendly, maybe thats why there are less customers

Hi guys I'm from kajang and for us sate emas is the best sate around..samuri is too commercial but still OK. I would suggest u do adventure a bit with sate babat .its the intestine sate . Not all will like it but if you do, its quite a unique taste and texture u can enjoy.

Hi guys... Hj Samuri happened to b d founder of satay in Kajang which was named after him. A visit to Kajang without trying satay is not complete, there are also other satay outlets which are equally gud to satay Samuri.... Rgds

Haji samuri is not a founder of satay kajang. Haji Tasmin and Rono are actually the founder of satay kajang

If you want to experience super-local-not-touristy-even-for-local-tourists but great satay and kuah kacang. Look for Satay Sri Melaka Lembah Keramat. Every time I am in KL and went there, it’s always packed with locals. Satay Kajang Haji Samuri can’t even come close to this satay.

Yes! We went to Kajang back in 2020 to try Willy Satay and loved it. Figured we would go back to try more. Maybe because the time of day?

OMG ! The sate is sooooo cheap USD 6 only. Be careful with your blood sugar. The food in M'sia is sweet 🤣

The 6 USD was the round trip ride for both of us on the MRT to/from our place. We always ask for kosong or kurang manis on our drinks! 😁
