First of all, she’s using a kabuki brush for liquid foundation, so her brush is holding onto all the leftover product every time she uses it. So no wonder it made such a mess once she dipped it in the water, it’s an old sponge full of makeup at that point!

I have a brush for blush, a brush for highlight, and a brush for foundation, so I never need to clean mine lol. If I was into eye shadow, I'd probably need to start though.

Danielle Spargo You do still need to clean them. Not because you've mixed products in them, but to clean out all the gunk thats built up on them from your face, like oils and dead skin, and whatever has gotten on it from wherever you store it.

OK. I'm 65 years old and ran across Ladylike last night when I couldn't go to a local singing due to illness. I must say I've never laughed so much as I have watching you ladies do some of these various challenges. Showed hubby when he got home and he's cracking up too. You're honest about some of the challenges women are faced with, but somehow do it with both sensitivity and a hilarious irreverence. Stylfile only clocked them for it because that's my main concern, if my brushes would not be deformed, but unfortunately, they didn't notice it, so now I don't have proof that it will return to normal. And my brushes are more expensive than my makeup, so bruh...

They didn't read the instructions 😑 you're supposed to have it in the water for 10 seconds and then dry for 10 seconds no longer. They defeated the purpose of this video by 1 using HAND SOAP 2 NOT FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS and 3 smashing the brushes down/wetting the ferrules 😶 I nearly died

* agreed! texture would do well on a flat, individual surface, but brushes with many dense fibres will definitely be ruined if they were to be spun and scrubbed against texture.

The brushes shouldn't ever touch the bowl, so texture wouldn't make a difference. The brushes get ruined if they're pushed up against the sides of the bowl, that's how a bunch of other youtuber/guru's ruined their brushes.

Jazmine Kushin they didnt use it properly they pressed their brushes at the bottom for the bowl and spinning the brushes around for not its purpose on the instructions it said not to do that that video was a bad review for that product.

Jen's skin is incredibly blessed that even when she has a brush that is literally looks like an angler fish living in a swamp, she still have such beautiful skin. While myself, even if i washes my brushes twice a week, my skin would still literally look like a hybrid of moonrock and a sand paper
