Campbell's actually recently released a gluten-free version of their cream of mushroom soup that uses cornstarch and rice flour instead of wheat flour. I'm not sure if it is available everywhere, though we have it at our local Market Basket.

I've been making my own in a big batch once a year to freeze for holidays. But if that one works, I may retire the ritual. 😅 The base of mine is steamed cauliflower, and it somehow doesn't end up tasting like cauliflower. Likely because of the ridiculous amount of butter I cook the mushroom and onion in. Lol

I completely agree with this one. I always loved tomato soup by itself, but when I discovered tomato bisque I just couldn't go back to regular tomato anymore. The bisque just gives it something extra and pairs great with a grilled cheese sandwich.

If they like the Tomato bisque, they definitely need to try the Lobster Bisque. Its one of my top two, along with the Chunky Potato with Bacon Soup. I think it may be harder to find, as it is part of their reserve line.

Please note: any recipe that calls for cream of chicken, replace it with cream of chicken with herbs, its the superior cream of chicken soup and will make the dish taste better.
