This is an interesting method. Most tutorials I've seen (mostly on kinky/coily natural hair) people start from the ends and roll their hair up into the rod (which you did towards the end of the video lol). This also helps the ends stick to the flexi rods. Perhaps another method for someone to try. I've never had the patience to do flexi or perm rods on my own hair (do you see my afro in my picture?!), but always love the results when I see other folks do it. And Amanda's hair turned out great!

@Cemouton22 I didn’t really think about my curly hair or try to wear it down until I started watching your videos. I enjoy the research you do and love scientific Mel! My mom just did braids and pigtails when I was younger, and I followed it with damaging high hair buns. You make me feel like it’s not too late to get a great hair routine going. I’m 32 and finally feel like Im getting to know my hair, and am getting more confident with it. I shared your channel with my twin sister and she is loving it as well. I wish we had KZfaq channels like these back in my schools days.

When Amanda started to join in on the videos I was so happy to see the techniques Mel used on her Seester because my hair is more like Amanda’s. I love your videos, you guys are amazing and so helpful! I had curly back in the day when totally straight was the only way to go. Had no clue how to work with it so just pulled it back in a ponytail all the time. Then came blow dryers and round brushes and I learned how to do the Farrah look. lol I never got the curly thing down UNTIL I started watching you guys! Mel, I'm so happy you found what you truly love and it shows. What you say makes sense, how you say it makes it easy and fun. Young women I don't know come up and ask, what product do you use? Seriously, I am 61 years old and am having such fun with my hair!! Thank you!
