What we do with the salted egg is that we don't peel it, we just slice it in half (shell and all) then we scoop it out with a spoon.

We've heard suggestions about mixing it into the rice and what not and that'll reduce the sandy texture. We're open to seeing if that'll change our impression of this dish! Thanks for watching Jay!

Lol, you got the right ingredients, just wrong preparation lol! The bagoong with mango, just use a small fraction of what you used hahah! And the salted egg, you basically chop it up along with chopped tomatoes and red onion and mix it all together… then it’s meant as a compliment to a meat and rice dish (my fave is with fried fish). You can add cilantro too. But I loved the video! If you guys are ever in San Diego, I’ll cook for you! 😂

Most Filipinos use tomato sauce then just add UFC banana catsup and sugar (aside from the meats and cheese), salt and pepper rather than using ready made SPAGHETTI SAUCE. Either you just want to satisfy a craving or you're on a budget that's why you're gonna use ready made spag sauce.

The color of the mangoes, paired with how fast you can eat it tells me that it's bit ripened. Mangoes dipped in bagoong tastes better if the mangoes are absolutely unripe, like the flesh is green-white in color. But I guess your palate are not used to yet with the Filipino-level of tolerance for sour foods.

I personally prefer ripe mangoes with pink bagoong (raw bagoong dyed w/food coloring and what's used in the pork binagoongan you guys ate) cuz I love the stronger sweet/salty contrast, lol. For the egg, salt cures it, so that's why it has a sandy texture. I like to pop it in the microwave with rice and mix it with tomatoes and some banana ketchup, and that helps tone down the saltiness.

Your facial expressions are quite odd. Pancit canton you bought are instant noodles(ramen) they are good with baby boy choy so it's not too salty, (they are not the one you use for Pancit canton dish). Spaghetti sauces more variety and more choices just like when u buy different brands of pasta sauce. The salted eggs you cut them in the middle- you mixed them with tomatoes and onions in a bowl all together- you guys learn to make them properly ( you don't eat just the egg itself- it's like the century egg u eat it as a salad not by itself). *Your video is a bit disappointing .
