24:00 couple of things about that first round on bleasdale. 1.) A crucifix doesnt stop a ghost from hunting within the same room as the crucifix. It only works if it tries to start it's hunt within the range of it. So in a big room like the kitchen the crucifix can just miss. 2.) A ghost can interact with items within a radius of them. So if that radius crosses over into another room then they can interact with it. Case in point the sink could be interacted with from that first room of the left. 3.) A wraith could have ended up in that room you got EMF 5 because it teleported to you. Thay's what the "flying through walls" bit of it's flavor text means. Although it gives emf 2 when it does it. So if you get a random emf 2 when walking around it could be a wraith. (Or a banshee or a phantom who both have similar abilities.)

Ended things on a win. -Everyone survived -Correctly identified the ghost -Impulse survived a cursed hunt

6 player phasmo would be chaotic and amazing. I would love to see the 2 groups play together alas that not a thing, I’m exited for the double phasmo weeks coming up and see you guys explore the update.

I love watching these Phasmo Vods they’re become my new comfort content and I’m typically a scaredy-cat but watching these vods has built up my tolerance a fair bit as well, plus I love working alongside trying to figure out what the ghost is as well 😁💖 Also Grian having to deal with Maui in the first bit is so funny and adorable 😆🥰

I don’t know if you read the comments on these vods but in case you see this there is a potential solution to Grian’s Maui problem. If you make/buy a fake plushy computer they can lie on that instead and it still makes them feel like they’re closer to daddy and doing the same thing. For some people it doesn’t work but for some it does.

5:35 That "biblical chain ball" is where you would put herbs and stuff and lit it for the smoke that repels "demons" to come from so I would say it`s the tier 3 of smudge stick thingy. The best example I can get you is The Plague from Dead by Daylight and her weapon. You would hold it by the chains and swing the thing around for smoke to go around you easier.

Since the update is coming up there'll be more new players, so I thought it might make sense to post my cheat sheet as there's so much the game doesn't tell you most of these. As far as I know the update won't change how these things work. @impulseSV2 I remember in the past you looked some stuff up, so hopefully you don't mind me sharing these! === Evidence === EMF Any interaction will give an EMF rating. With EMF 5 every lvl 2 or 3 interaction has a 25% chance to be EMF 5. EMF 2 - Object interaction (e.g. book writing, sink), Ghost ability (e.g. Wraith teleport, Jinn fusebox) EMF 3 - Object thrown EMF 4 - Manifestation Fingerprints Doors, light switches, windows, keyboards, cooler boxes, some mirrors. Completely disappear after 2 minutes. Any touch is guaranteed to leave prints, except for the Obake (75% chance). Obake can leave 6-fingered prints. Forced evidence for Obake. After the update UV footprints will count as evidence. Ghost Writing If GW is an evidence, ANY interaction with the book will result in writing. Placing it directly next to a D.O.T.S. will let you know if it's been moved since the ghost cannot interact with that. Freezing Temperatures Temperature drops in a room the longer a ghost spends time in there, which is why it may take longer to see freezing temps. What's considered "Freezing" depends on the weather (up to 5C for Sunrise weather), however it will always go below 0C if the ghost is in that room long enough. Forced evidence for Hantu. D.O.T.S. projector Has a range of 7 meters. Dead players can't see them. After the update this will show the actual current location of the ghost. A Goryo's D.O.T.S. can only be seen on video. Forced evidence for Goryo. Ghost orbs Can be obstructed by geometry so hard to spot. Can be seen through a held/placed videocamera as well as security camera. The Mimic will always have fake ghost orbs, even with limited evidence. Are only ever present in the ghost room. Spirit Box Requires the room to be dark and might require you to be alone (info in journal). Range of only 3 meters to the ghost (so might not show up if ghost is not in favoured room), so try a few time while walking around. Forced evidence for Deogen and Moroi. === Equipment === Smudge sticks temporarily blind a ghost for 6 seconds causing it to loose Line of Sight (LoS). The range is 6m. When a ghost is smudged, it also starts a timer blocking them from starting the next hunt. Normal timer : 90 seconds. Demon timer: 60 seconds. Spirit: 180 seconds. When used on a Yurei it will trap them in the ghost room for 60 seconds. The parabolic mic has a range of 30m in a 6m cone. === Tips === The ghost room is a ghost's favoured room; they can wander around but are most likely to return there. All ghosts have the same % chance to be chosen for a run. The book lies. Witnessing any/most(?) event or ability drains sanity. The Ouija board shows the ghost's current room, not necessarily the official ghost room. Sanity drains constantly while in a dark room unless while holding a lit candle. Keep the path to the favoured room lit. You can turn on the night vision of a video camera as you're holding it, allowing you to quickly scout for ghost orbs. === Ghost tips === Oni can't do the ghost ball/breath event. Wraiths can't step in salt. Ask the Ouija board how old the ghost is several times during a run. If it gets older, it's a Thaye. If any person is in the same room as a ghost, a Shade cannot do anything except wander. The Mimic copies everything about a ghost except for its evidence. (Movement speed, sanity hunt %, ghost ability, etc.) The Twins have a 50% chance to hunt from either location, which is why a hunt may start far away from the official ghost room. A Mare hunt can be triggered by flicking a lightswitch on/off several times. === Hunt survival === A hunt will start from the ghost's current location, which may be outside of the ghost room. During a hunt you cannot flick a lightswitch (regardless of fuse box or light status). Ghosts remember the last location of active equipment/flashlight so turn off before hiding. Use a smudge if close to the ghost when the hunt starts or if you suspect the ghost has found your hiding spot. Ghosts have different walking speeds that will change depending on context allowing you to rule out most ghosts. Ghosts may speed up during a hunt depending on context (e.g. electronics, fuse box, temperature, LoS). At the end of a hunt, the ghost will teleport back to the ghost room.

Hey Impulse - I don't do X/Twitter, so I thought I'd mention it here. The new Phasmo update goes live tomorrow and there are a TON of changes that will definitely change evidence collection. Insym has a vid out reviewing the preliminary patch notes, which are still subject to change. Freezing breath doesn't mean a freezing temperature ghost anymore. Some items will be "consumable" now that weren't before, so you'll have to rebuy them after every job. There's so much more so I thought I'd give you a heads up that you might want to read the actual patch notes before playing again. Have fun.

Just an FYI, a ghost can start a hunt from anywhere in the house, so if it is wandering away from its favorite room it might be out of range of a crucifix you had down in there

Edit: they changed this so this is wrong now The thing about wraiths is that they can make a dent in salt, but every other ghost makes UV footprints immediately after. Having a glowstick next to salt is a pretty good idea cause you wont use them for anything else and it means you dont have to carry around a UV torch for footsteps

46:19 a bunch of activity or ghost events can make the activity graph jump to a 10. It doesnt always mean it's a hunt.

1:13:37 couple of things about the Mare. 1.) If the lights are on in the room it's in it can't hunt until 40% sanity, but if the lights are off it can hunt at 60%. 2.) If the lights are on in it's room then it has an increased chance to roam to a dark room. 3.) They can not turn the lights on, but can turn the breaker on 4.) If you turn the lights on near the mare it has a chance to instantly turn them back off (you'll hear a *click**click*)

You can get fingerprints with the camera. Take 2 pictures of the middle of the door after it touches it. The first will be an interaction, the second if it is fingerprints will have fingerprints in the journal.

I had one cat that found the volume knob on the monitor. When she thought it was too loud she'd turn it all the way to silent. When she thought I wasn't paying enough attention to her she'd turn the volume all the way and blast me.

Hi so it’s easier to check for orbs w the camera in ur hand. If it throws a book it’s not ghost writing. If the door moves and it’s not fingies it’s not fingies but u can take 2 pictures of the moving door and it will show u finger in the book without the UV. With most ghosts in nightmare u have to listen to the speed of the steps at hunt

29:39 this isn't going to be true after thursday's update but you only see your breath in the ghost room. After thursday, you will be able to see your breath when the temp just above freezing and you can see it throughout the location. So if it's snowing then you will see your breath if the power is off. However, only the ghost room will be below freezing.

If a ghost walks through salt it leaves green footprints with uv light like fingerprints. The wraith doesnt leave the green footprints but it has to leave the mark in the salt first cause that means it trigged the salt. The footprints dissapear after a while like fingerprints.
