As an actor... I have never heard of that tear stick before. I know some actors have used eye drops before to replicate tears. There are also actors who can just cry on command. I did a scene from King Lear back in high school where I just started crying for real. Getting it to stop after I was off stage was the hard part. The secret to crying on command is to think about actual real tragedies that have effected your life and apply that to the scene you're acting out. The scene from King Lear I was doing was when King Lear discovers his daughter's dead body. While being in high school I've obviously never had a daughter before however my great grandmother had just recently passed away so while I was saying daughter or Cordelia which was the character's name I was thinking about my great grandmother the entire time I was playing the scene, so yeah all the tears, the emotions were very real. And a lot of actors will do that in order to cry on cue, saying one name for the character in the scene but thinking about someone else who they've actually lost. Does this work for everyone, NO, but it works for me as weirdly I have a hard time grieving and tend to dissociate myself from trauma but when I'm in character acting as someone else it becomes easier to let myself feel what I need to and kind of becomes a form of therapy.

Exactly! Like, it may be good for new actors, or even for those who aren’t able to cry on command. (For example, I can do so, but it’s a skill I’ve always had). Thank you for confirming this, I wasn’t sure if I was the only one thinking it.

Also... for "Damn Yankies" we actually did DIY that little flame device for the actor playing the Mr. Applegate (The devil) as I recall it was basically a one time use and had to be reloaded before every show cause it would burn out all the fuel as soon as the actor had finished his scene. Also... I had heard at the time we were doing the show on stage that there were plans for a movie version with Jim Carrey in that role but it never happened. I'm not sure why that got canceled or if it just a rumor that was never actually going to happen. I want to see it though.

Buying is easy and probably maybe the better option if your not a skilled crafter like myself lmao, but creating it yourself is fun and uses your brain for making the idea, crafting and seeing what works and what dosent. It’s an interesting idea but in reality if your not decent at making stuff and you don’t like wasting time, getting frustrated or prob spending more with crafting thenn yeah no it’s better to just buy it yourself even if it might be a lil while to take lol. But if you love making stuff, it’s interesting and fun for you then yes! This is definitely a worth to try this challenge it’s fun, it uses your brain and so much more. I recommend trying this

I did make my own card sharp from stainless steel and microfiber... but mine is specifically made to be used as a weapon, It was expensive but worth it. -Tucker
