2 жыл бұрынWe built a big tire motorized bicycle with a Tillotson 212cc engine. In today's episode, we turn our custom mini bike into a drag mini bike! We swap on a Tillotson 225cc racing engine and change the front forks out for a springer front end from a mountain bike, making this a comfortable and EXTREMELY capable mini bike! This might be our best custom mini bike to date- it's fast, handles really well, and looks killer!

Thanks for the springer forks (well sort of). A chopper seat that goes up onto the rear fender will help the driver's mood , I bet ! Fat tires front and back on a Hillbilly build Minnie ... "The Billy Bobber"

If you leave air in the old tire, the side walls will not flex that much and the tire will brake down easy, I worked at tire shop's for years.

You guys need to put a maxxis maxx daddy tire on the front “Engineered for BMX tracks, trail riding, and (naturally) dirt jumping. Staggered, tightly-spaced center lugs for low rolling resistance provide high, controllable speeds.Linear, moto-style side lugs hook-up fast to accelerate out of the tightest berms. High durometer rubber compound rolls fast and wears long.”

Awesome build guys! There are 3 things I would do to it though to help keep the front wheel down when you run it as a drag bike either on the track or sand. 1: turn the gas tank around 2: lower or tilt the handle bars forward (to a comfortable yet controllable position) 3: mount foot pegs on the rear axle area, that way the rider weight would be lower and farther forward.

For the next bike build. Do a 2 wheel drive fat tire mini bike. But with only one engine and to finish it off, front and rear suspension.

Cool video guys ! Suggestion, build a bead breaker. I was having the same issue trying to break the beads on those tires. I used a chunk of pipe about 3 foot long with the bottom capped off. a piece of 1/4" steel thats 2" × 6"bent to the shape of the rim, weld that to the side of the pipe and a heavy bar like a digging bar as the slide hammer. Spray your tire with some wd40 bam. Works first or second hit every time.

Legend has it, that in order to see the mythical Ike-Squatch up close all one has to do is get their Japanese Mini-truck stuck on a downed pine tree while exploring the woods. Then and only then with he come racing up on his Fat-tired mini drag-steed to save the day. All jokes aside, fun build guys. I like seeing Ike's brother when he has a guest appearance, he's a bicycle guru with all the experience and knowledge he has. :)
