I have been using a plain old brown paper bag stuffed with plastic grocery bags, to keep its shape, for years to keep wasp off my deck. It works GREAT! I have found that they last a few months but cost practically nothing. I fold the bag over at the top and use a binder clip to hold it closed and the ears of the binder clip make it easy to hang on a nail. I tried a commercial one but it didn’t last as long as my paper bag.

It is a funny ride. We have companies that let us demo equipment on the channel all of the time, but that doesn't cover construction costs. Still, we are blessed.

Good to see y'all back at the cabin. Shtuff happens that delays our plans but that is part of life. Heidi the Schnauzer said thank you for those closeup Gizmo shots, made it loud in here with her saying high to Gizmo, that is fine with us.

That bug is a katydid (or katydidn't depending on whether you think she's guilty) completely harmless. 😊 But keep on the lookout for the waspers. 🐝🐝 Ya'll are doing an excellent job on the cabin! Thanks for sharing Tony and Tanja! 🙂

I think your "grasshopper" is a Cicada. They've been living in the soil for 17 years, and soon there will be many billions of them crawling over everything. There's been mention on the TV of them emerging this year. I haven't heard yet what they are going to eat, in their billions. Will it be people's house plants, ornamentals, or crops?

Yep, generically called can lights around here, because they replaced the old can lights. They make them now that are LED and will change color with a remote. Should be cool.
