It is a huge bureaucratic nightmare, therefore Interpol attache become a very rare sight these day. @louiscypher41862 жыл бұрын
@Battlefield V is the last Battlefield That's not exactly true. Interpol does co-ordinate joint task forces which in certain situations does see officers from one country operate in another. In this manner Interpol could be said to have "field agents" for the juration of the taskforce. However, those taskforce members would actually operate under the relevant police agency for the country they are operating in at the time. So this scene could happen in that sense but they would be coming in as part of a local police rather then Interpol. The movie merely simplifies the situation.
@georgiishmakov95882 жыл бұрын

Interpol does not have field agents. It does not have detectives, it does not have anybody like Valentine, it does not conduct any type of special operations like shown in movies. This is one of the biggest Hollywood "cinematic liberties" / lies there is about Europe. Viewers in the US need some sort of FBI equivalent so that there can be real sense of suspense for movies with crime, and since the name "Interpol" sounds like it could be it, they just invented that it does just that. The truth is Europe is much more complicated than that. Interpol exists only as a coordinating agency, it relays information, it publishes lists of most wanted. It's a good agency, but its staff is not armed or go into dangerous situations, because it has absolutely no jurisdiction. National police agencies for each European country retain absolute jurisdiction over their territory. The most Interpol can do is relay information and, possibly but I'm not even sure they do that, suggest a course of action, to the local state authorities.
@Balt21Raven2 жыл бұрын

Doesn't this scene canonically happen in the late 80's to early 90's? Video cameras were rare, cops of all stripes did all kinds of shit knowing eyewitnesses would be hesitant to come forward. Mix that with the particular badge in question having authority over every other law enforcement agency and almost every other authority worldwide, drop these shit biscuits into the hot pans of Africa, Asia, South America, and the former Soviet Bloc, bake at 400°F for their entire career, and you'll inevitably end up with way worse than this scene.

That is the way it should be. You can't take the law in your own hands . People abusing power is what makes the law insignificant. Especially when they use it in their favor. If they can bend the rules then there is no point of others following them.
@pharaohsmagician8329 Жыл бұрын
You are delusional. The law has already been taken into people's hands, a long time before the events of this film, and us being used to "legally" sell and distribute evil across the world with gun runners like Yuri. Following Manmade laws as some kind of pinnacle of truth is exactly how evil people who made the laws, like the ones who got Yuri out of jail, get away with it for so long. When laws are corrupt following those laws continues the corruption. The Interpol agent should have taken the law into his own hands and just liked Yuri when he had the chance. That actually ironically would have saved so many lives. Why would we refrain from arresting a rapist just because he warns you that 10 more rapists will be there to replace him tomorrow? First of all that's a gross exaggeration he says to keep himself safe, second it does not diminish the violence of his current crimes and the victims pain, third the right for justice is endless. "Vigilante Justice" doesn't exist. Every single law ever made is vigilante justice. Cops and Lawyers and international judges are humans who put their own bias and greed into the law when writing it too. That is proved by the film

@Shmuzhin Phuzin Ukraine has plenty of manpower and in fact more than Russia inside Ukraine atm. There's nothing wrong with Putin at all btw. The problem is the rapid expansion of NATO towards russian's borders make them susceptible to nuclear strike with no warning from the west. Pretty much the very same reason we almost had a ww3 during Cuban Missile Crisis. And no, in real world geopolitics, countries don't have free will to join whatever alliances they want when the security of their neighbor is threatened.

Okay, so I know the USSR was admitted to interpol before it was dissolved, but honestly I find it a bit hard to believe that interpol agents would just threaten the personnel of a soviet military base. That would be a major diplomatic faux pas and effectively suicide.
@playwars30372 жыл бұрын
@@user-sn6we8nj5x If it was under total American control they'd have seized the gunships and pretty much put the entire military base and industry under seals. Besides, there have been examples of Americans puppet regimes, they were never good about hiding it and the US never allowed them to have a significant standing military, preferring to use their own forces for strategic defense.
@bobfg31302 жыл бұрын
@@user-sn6we8nj5x It wouldn't. Do what you find credible and get shot. 😆 You find credible that a guy can just walk in a military base with a gun. Do it, you will die. Keep on drinking that vodka, it helps you stay alive. An FBI agent can't inspect shit. Ukrainian police would not be obeying anyone's orders. Ukrainian military police MIGHT be checking something if the proper arrangements were made...and there might be an FBI agent if the conditions are good but unlikely. FBI had to get proper authorisation in Iraq and Afghanistan to do anything. And where did you get that the country was under American control? How much vodka have you been drinking?
